Exige pre season updates, Does modifying ever stop??

Number 1 sounds best to me… especially with it being the start of the season…

Good luck with it Dave… might give you a buzz in the week to see if you have another set of Anthracite TD 1.2’s in stock ?

Yes Dave on the shelf now.

It will be No 1… for now… BUT… Need to find out what happened as I don’t want another engine doing the same!!!
Already started pricing up blocks with liners etc, Pistons and rods, Valve gear and cams etc also been looking at the Harrop options
Seems a real 350-360 bhp is about the reliable max on the standard crank, but…Cosworth do a fully forged bottom end, Anybody want to buy a Kidney???

TODA also do a forged bottom end stroker kit for the 2ZZ, Hmmmmm 1933cc with the boost tuned up, Why o why did that bloody chain break

If I do go down the built engine route I would like to do it properly

What? Buy an S1 and reduce it to a pile of 200 parts?

Number 1 def, then do 3 over the next year as funds and time allow

Lol it’ll go back together…unlike the S2 (it filled in a DNR & Donor Card).

The Donor doors look great on mine BTW

That’s roughly where I am up to Ade… But patience is not one of my virtues…Started the hunt for build parts already, Its just deciding what route to take
Standard cc’s or stroker kit
Who’s rods
What pistons and what compression ratio
Iron liners, new Toyota block or a BOE block.
cams???
Port MP62 of go 1320
Stay wet sump or go Dry
Decisions decisions

Mahle pistons
Carrilo rods
10.5/1 ratio
New block
no cams it’s not worth it
Harrop 1320
Wet sump

That would be my list… aiming for 350+hp
