I heard a rumour at Brands last week that Lotus want to build a car to fit the British GT4 regs initially as a race car only.
I am seriously thinking of getting one to race in Brit GT’s and Britcar - any thoughts from the collective?

Sounds awesome ! - Russ, if you have the chance and the opportunity - why not !
Hopefully it would prove a bit more reliable than their GT3 effort though ?
Lotus ran the 2-Eleven in the first round of the FIA GT4 at Silverstone a couple of weeks ago to trial it and get some timings. I haven’t seen the results though.
… I haven’t seen the results though.
Thats probably because I dont think they actually made the race the big question here though Russ, is whether the orange race suit says or not
David
The first thought that comes to mind is let me know if you need a second driver!

Crap, theres a queue already.
Go for it Russ!!
You never know, I may even join you…
Fancy going halves?

Driver change is in British GT
Have you lot got large wallets?
I used to have before I started racing!
it’s easy to make a small fortune from motor racing…
start with a large one
I seem to have a large hole in my wallet. Does that count?
If it’s an option for you then I say go for it Russ. Have you asked the venerable Mr Randall what he thinks about it…?
If you do it I guess it goes without saying that you’ll be lobbying Lotus/BGT to get us accredited
I think the new sports class in GT4 looks to be a good class for the 2-11, up against the KTM.
Not sure how competitive it would be though, and I think that is the main issue with any Lotus. If they can give you something half decent I’d say go for it.
Any idea what happened to Plans running their car in BGT GT4 which was announced last year?

Was a real shame the 2/11 wasnt racing at Silverstone last month, apparently it was there in the qualifying then pulled out on basis it wasn’t ready yet(not sure how true this was or what wasn’t ready?)
Monza next round, apparently a Belgium team called ‘speedlover’ are entering an Aston and possibly a 2/11 in sports light category TBC.
Any one seen one of these before? Not my cup of tea http://www.gilletvertigo.com/ apparently this is also up against the KTM in the SL group.
Wasn’t that running in FIA GT3? A red one, very loud, pitted a lot
Unfortunately the 2-11 was a bit off the pace of the X-bow, the Lotus managed a high 2:13 compared to the two KTMs best times of a high 2:07 and a mid 2:05.

Does this mean they are going to abort the series until there is something they can beat

True, but it does look good though
