My experience of them is they are like butter, you’ll be through them in no time.
Oh no and I thought I was going for the harder-wearing one too!! Many thanks D
They are street car pad IMO. Sure the Lotus is lighter, but better pads are available for a little more. You get what you pay for and you shouldn’t scrimp on pads, discs or tyres…they keep you alive.
What would be your suggestion Damon?
I am a little biased as I supply Performance Friction and Pagid.
The Pagids are excellent pads too. Have a look at Elise Parts, Hanger111 et al they supply them and will give you an idea of budget.
I can say the Performance Friction pads seemed to work very well on my car at Donny, Damon can you send me that bill?
EBC do a new yellowstuff compound by all accounts, gonna give them a try when I manage to get the front wheels off!!
Jonny
Im fitting Yellow stuffs (front and rear) to mine next week. Ill let you know how they feel.
DAMON SEND ade THE BLOODY BILL
I’ll be after pads next week mate
DAMON SEND ade THE BLOODY BILL
Well if he doesn’t want paying who am I to argue
Maybe he wanted me to test them? If that is the case, they are brilliant and everyone should buy them
I put Yellowtuffs on a couple of weeks back and did an activity day at North Weald last week.
Huge improvement over OEMS. I could actually feel the car stopping. It did mess up my braking points as the car stopped so much quicker. Knocked a second off my previous fastest time (with OEMs) around the circuit and that was with a passenger!
Much less brake dust too.

Nothing to do with the track finally being DRY then!
It all helps.

Will do the invoice tonight
Having done several trackdays and the Nordschleife with them I am might impressed.
I have noticed several leading LOTRDC Elise Trophy guys using them without talking about them A bit of competitive advantage there
pm’d Don’t worry about the invoice
I’ll be adding a charge to Ade’s for late payment
If I ever see the invoice… is it coming via carrier pidgeon?
I just got some of the new yellowstuff compound pads from PTP in Hinckley. Prob gonna be at Donny for the trackday on 31st Oct with any luck so will report back to see what I find!
Changed from OEM to Yellowstuff pads for Donington on Weds.
Huge difference! Cold they seem about on par with OEM, when warm after a couple of corners they were superb. Really hang-you-from-your-seatbelt superb.
Only downside was that I’ve had to re-learn all my braking points as they’re now so much later than I’m used to.
