Changed from OEM to Yellowstuff pads for Donington on Weds.
Huge difference! Cold they seem about on par with OEM, when warm after a couple of corners they were superb. Really hang-you-from-your-seatbelt superb.
Only downside was that I’ve had to re-learn all my braking points as they’re now so much later than I’m used to.
Excellent, seems I made the right choice then! They the ‘new’ yellowstuff compound you got then?
Yes, got them a couple of weeks ago from Brakes4u.
I did also change hoses and fluid (to that pricey Castrol stuff) at the same time, so I couldn’t swear all the improvement was down to the pads, but the stopping power of the car was transformed.
Ah good to hear it. I tried to fit my pads at the weekend before Donny next friday, but I still cant get the wheels off after getting through a can of plusgas and 2 wheel adaptor tools…
Got 6 of the 8 front bolts off (including both locking nuts)but the last two (on the OSF) won’t budge. Got the dealer ringing me in a bit with some suggestions that hopefully won’t involve a blowtorch like Stratstone suggested!!
