Donny on Tuesday

Great stuff, boyz - pleased you enjoyed yourselves

Whatā€™s Ian done now?

And finally, Benā€™s thong - wtf!

I had to report back to phil all went well and heā€™ll love the 2-11. Shame he couldnā€™t come for ago in the car. Me and Phil want to do spa next year Jonny. I had to turn the trailer round in the one way street after the curry as it wouldnā€™t fit between the cars, that was fun.

Thanks for the PAX Chris and Iā€™m glad youā€™re pleased with the car. Iā€™ve found the silver transfers; pm me your address and Iā€™ll send them over in the next couple of days.

Moreover, thanks to GT Chris for the ride in the cup and Phil in the diesel Elise - what an experience!!! I was convinced I was going to break the passenger seat in the bends (I need to go on a diet). Great to meet Mr fox too. Hopefully, see you all next timeā€¦

IĆÆĀæĀ½ve finally mastered hitting the apex

Looks like someone else missed the briefing - lots of ā€˜overtaking by consentā€™ going on in the background picture !!!

Was struggling with getting the front to turn in all day I guess I wouldnĆÆĀæĀ½t have had the same problem if IĆÆĀæĀ½d fitted some of these.

From reverie website ā€¦

Product Description
Material: Carbon Fibre
Finish: Polished Carbon

Tunable downforce aid that fits below the headlamps. Trim width to reduce downforce.

What? about as useful as a chocolate fireguard then, what happens when you want more downforce ???

Drive faster. Simples

Carbon Fibre Bumper Canards [/quote]

Yup - thatā€™s what Iā€™ve got - not sure if they actually work but I think they canā€™t make the turn in worse. With my new deeper front splitter turn in was not a problem I had

Great day yesterday with nearly 170 miles done on track, so c 80 laps all in all. Nice to catch up with everyone and hope you all enjoyed the curry.

That Fezza 360 challenge car sounded mega although when I let him through going into redgate and he downsifted twice the explosion was so loud i nearly sh1t myself thinking something had exploded on my car.

Speaking of mechanical gremlins, thanks once again to martin and steve ā€œdriveshaftā€ edwards who managed to change mine after the outboard CV split. Poor steve worked through lunch so I could be ready to get back out and play and the car was good to go shortly after the circuit re-opened. Did find the inside of start finish straight just after the chicance so god damn bumpy that when you had the power on hard trying to overtake those pesky caterhams (no.1 grrrrrr :frowning: )the back was bouncing and squirming all over the place which canā€™t have helped the shaft.

And no - before you ask ben, Iā€™ve not checked the rear calipers yet to see just how dark red they ended up

oh and thanks to John for the loan of his tools

Was just thinking, that looks like a mini Carouselā€¦ just the wrong way round  Lovely looking car that.

Hello Rob, all good thanks! I was hoping to see you there yesterday, but can now see from the other thread you were otherwise engaged. Hopefully, catch up soon mate.

Marc, looking at the far left of the photo I now see your planā€¦thatā€™s how you got past those sodding Caterhams

I had to wait for one to spin before I could get past, and no I didnā€™t nudge him.

Excellent day out. Glad there we no big offs for anyone even in the slimy morning session.

Just watched some of the video again. I can report that I was pretty consistent,ā€¦yup I managed to fxxx up large parts of the lap time after time  I should have had some tuition.

Coming past the pits all OK into Redgate, but could be more aggressive on exit. Pretty on it through Hollywood down into Cranerā€™s but still being a pussy. Old Hairpin, every single lap losing too much speed which then has a massive impact up under the bridge right up to McLeans. Could carry more speed into McLeans and then too wide a line through Coppice. A tad too early on the brakes into the Esses, should get over the hump. Also, too much use of third gear when fourth would be better. Having a camera in the car helps it really does, looking forward to seeing the footage from Seanā€™s car

I wish I could get out again tomorrowā€¦ :frowning:
