Donington Park Noisy Day : Tue 6th October

ruler straight!

Amen!

[You’re still a lucky… ]

Will swore by softly sprung 46mm Ohlins (calm down Sean!) but he’s got a Toyota.

Ohlins on cup260 settings.. Great balance for road and track use.

yeah I’m open to options on settings, main thing is reliability really

Doesnt mwtter which brand you go for or which model, they are a wear item and will all need service at some point or another.

I understand your sentiment Gav but i’m still jealous! A GTE road car and track toy!

Gav

yeah more than happy to service them, but currently the shocks are coming off more than the tyres are. Loosing gas pressure, or mainly clickers jamming.

Look through my emails they’ve done 5 trackdays since the last issue.

I would have never taken my silver road car on track Gav, would never tinkered with it, took any panels off, or even changed the brake pads. I would have perhaps took the wheels off it to wash them but that is it. It will be hugged and squeezed, and ill call it George. Its going back to the factory for it first service this month.

The red one however has had a baptism of fire. 20 miles on the clock when i got it, it has already been pulled apart once, been on the dyno hard to check all systems go and ragged it on track Tuesday. Will do all work and servicing myself.

I can do that again and again to it and not feel bad about it, and not devalue it in any way either. ill call this one, Mildred…

Just keep it beautiful! No more scratches to the carbon, huh.

So the red one isn’t or cannot be made road legal? A bit of a shame, but what a lovely looking thing it is.

Lucky bu99er :sunglasses:

The red one may even have the Vmax of the standard S now

Gav does the red one sound as good on track as it did in your garage

you need a new photo of all the toys now too

Fair play Gav!!

Sounds like I missed a great day. I knew it would be from the bunch of folks going.

sounded good in the cabin!!

you did…

Your grease was there and did it’s job well. (unlike other S1 CVs in attendance :frowning: )

Thanks to Gav, I got to meet a load of you on the day and also had the privilege of getting the first passenger ride in the GTE.

Thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all _ look forward to meeting you again, preferably with the CUP in tow for a track day.

Oi! I had an Aunty Mildred(rest her soul) You look after her proper, young man!

A couple of shots I took _ with a predominance of one particular red car.
