The file won’t play on my PC - it says the audio codec tag 75 is missing and cannot be found by web help…
(whatever that means)
Could you email me the 60mb version anyway ??
Uldis
Great stuff, most enjoyable & informative - will try some different lines next time I’m there.
Didn’t like seeing that bloody great line of cement on the track again, though!
Mike
It plays on my PC using “Windows Media Player” - hope you manage to view the video, it’s a cracker
Guys, I extracted a couple of (fairly clear) laps at higher res. here
It’s an mpeg, not wmv, so shouldn’t give problems.
It’s almost 14MB for just a couple of laps, so better to see the lines.
On both files, did you check closely the sound out of the hairpins and chicane (look for the wheelspin)
All with (ahem!) 187 BHP, cat included.
It felt so much faster than before!
PS - any idea for the 66MB one? it’s waaay better.
Guys, I’ve uploaded another file (low-res) of later in the day, with Christine as pax. It’s 9.3MB here
You’ve got to see the Hi res version, but it’s 44MB, so if you tell me where to put it…

Hey stop pickin’ on me. Maybe you’d like to pay for my next track day?
Cheers for the comments guys. Everybody seems to like it.

You seem to turn in to the hairpin earlier than I do, but exit on the same line I do, going faster…
Perhaps I am trying to turn in too late??
You will have to ride with me (and risk the consequences )
Or, since I now have a Hague camcorder mount, you could examine my Anglesey lines on vid instead (safer too )
\
I’d be happy to have som pax laps with you, obviously hoping that you are brave enough to have some pax laps on my car
Might be something related to the camera’s point of view, but the way I turn for the hairpin is (and gents, here goes my secret):
-pretty late
-important: do most of the turning in the first few meters
-aim for a VERY late apex (around 3/4 of the way there) while I fully apply the throttle.
-aim for the farthest place outside I can, dosing throttle and modifying line to control inside wheelspin.
This way, by the time I reach the apex, my car has turned not 90 degs, but around 150 and have been accelerating for a while.
There, I said it. No more advantage!
Still, will be happy to demonstrate next time we meet .
Next trackday bunch of S_E’ers are planning to do is Oulton Nov 15, with Easytrack.
Hope to see you there.
Guys, I have uploaded another video, the one after the session where I went around “interviewing” several of you.
Makes me smile everytime I see it.
I made it higher quality so we can see the faces, so it’s still 7MB, but it should stream ok.
The page is here , or if you want it to open directly, click here
some more pics and an mpeg here
Nice pics! (you weren’t obsessed by a certain Honda engine BTW? )
Regarding the video, you can’t put an mpeg in the same image folder, it won’t recognize it.
You’ll have to create a different folder for it and declare that it has video, rather than pics.
Hope to see it soon.
Cool steve
Anyone get any PAX laps in the Jag then ??
Cheers Uldis - had to upload pics at a friends who has broadband…so when he has restocked his fridge I’ll pop back and get the videos up…
Honda engine was fantastic and i think will suit my driving style perfectly…
