cheers
Its accident damaged. I think it has been repaired upto 3 times for various different things.
I have been trying to call for 3 days now and sending emails, but get no answer…
Matt
I wouldn’t mind accident damaging the bird on the bonnet!!
Doesn’t look like the kit’s she’s wearing is Nomex - so probably wouldn’t be safe with you
Isn’t that a crack in her rear clam that needs attention…
I take it that most of the cheap ones on pistonheads have had accident damage?
Does anyone know info on this one too!?
Sorry to keep asking but we don’t really want to buy a lemon!!
mine never been acident damaged is lower mileage and i have contact for all the other owners (2off)

As long as you get a specialist to inspect the car you should be ok & get it HPI’d if you worried about the history of the vehicle

Excellent
I asked the question as I run the Racing Puma Owners Club, and the majority of the cheap FRP’s for sale have been rebuilt after accidents, hence the really low prices. Its always best to know what you are getting into before you buy rather than finding out afterwards!
Seeing as there were only a small number of S1 Exiges made, does anyone on the site keep track of number plates and history. Our club registrar has a database of nearly all the FRP’s built, so if any come up for sale we can advise future owners of their past to help in their purchase.
Is there anyone here that also does that? I know there is this thread http://www.exiges.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=54242&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=3&vc=1 but its fairly public, whereas our list is held by one person only, and not for public view.
Hopefully I’ll be contributing to threads in a constructive way soon, rather than just asking loads of questions
Check out the S1 section and do a search, there’s been various registers and details put in there over the years.
I’d love to upgrade my std Puma to a racing one, but good ones are a little pricey.
Ian
Cheers for that…will do
Good ones are approx 11k - 12k, but they are worth getting as you could spend 1000’s getting a not so good one up to the better ones spec!
Have you got a 1.7?
Yup, I think it’s great fun.
I considered an FRP when I got my Scooby many years ago but couldn’t quite justify it in comparison.
Ian
her indoors has had a millennium for 6 years and loves it. I have been trying to get her to change for the last 3 years and only now she has agreed to let it go. there will be tears when it goes
Steve
We’ve got a bit of a puma thing at our place, I own the FRP, and then my partner, Toby, has this turbo puma:
Power 182bhp @ 5404 rpm
Torque 196lbft @ 4400 rpm
0-60 7.22 Secs
0-100 18.76Secs
1/4 Mile 15.59 (91.44 mph)

Although thats the one we’ve just sold, so won’t be around much longer
and also this turbo puma which is our sprint car, the figures are a bit old as the boost has been turned up, so pushing out roughly 280bhp now:
254bhp
251lb ft torque
0-60 5.2
0-100 12.3
1/4 mile 13.68 at 103.52 mph

This one has traction and launch control, anti lag, flocked dash, bespoke digi display, designed and programmed by Toby (although I done the dials design ), KW race suspension plus loads of other goodies Carbon boot ready and waiting to go on too, just got to source some glass!
Even tho all our pumas are modded, I still love all standard pumas, they are a fantastic handling car
All studio shots were done by Flow Images based in Bristol and are copyright to them.
Top stuff!
Look out Sean when Lisa joins the world of Exiges you could have a run for your money!

Its a LCD panel which is run by an in car PC. The PC takes Data from the Motec ECU and also the Race Technology data logger, this is then processed by a program that Toby has written and is displayed on screen.
We have a few different dash diplays, 2 for road and two for sprinting. With the sprint screens we can load in which track we are at and have the best times for either of us available. When we launch off the line (and hit a certain G)a stopwatch starts, showing our progress on a performance bar, red one side and green the other, which lets us know if we are up or down on our fastest times at any point on the track at a glance It also knows the distance of each course so can give a time when the distance is reached, you get a rough idea if you have beaten your previous run without getting out the car!!
Lots of other info can be displayed, I think there are something like 50 channels on the data logger and we can display all of them if needed, but to be honest its a bit too much info to read whilst driving
Toby could give you more info if wanted, I just know as much as he tells me!!
Oh, we also made the surround it sits in with some carbon and it uses the original puma warning symbols/lights too, so fairly standard really
Oh you’re going to fit right in here!
Maybe even a bit posh for us! You’ll know that when somebody starts asking you how much it all weighs.
Ian
That sounds awesome!!
SO how much does it weigh??
And I thought this was exiges.com
(Say’s he with the 111R… )
Tim.
PS if we’re going to go all max power, where are the naked ladies then
