Ok I was in my garage at 8am armed with a spanker MAF and pre cat Lamda sensor to sort the motha trucking stalling .
Lost some more skin and played bang the exhaust and garage floor with my head for a bit and got them in .
Started the car and left it to run for a bit and then went for a drive , everything seems cool .
I data logged some MAF readings on the kiwi , anyone know what sort of numbers I should be getting ?

Moomin ur a star !
What’s up wi yer car?

Don’t you read that the MAF does nowt?
Closed loop / open loop the fueling dont change…
Just fit a bird catch can and all will be good !

When the car was hot it would stall when slowing down .

A known fault with the Exige S tune, have Lotus reflash it with their latest…

I have the Gotham tune !?

You could check the wheel speed sensors …poor connections sometimes manifest in stalling when slowing for lights etc… happens to mine if I disable the ABS

Great another sensor ! It seems ok at the mo but I’m going to Notts later so we will see .
I have a Pipercross VIS coming monday to get rid of the nasty TRD box , it could be that .
Frank , if I can’t sort it would Essex autosport be able to find it on there laptop ? I have tried calling Wayne a few times but he’s a bugger to get hold of .

They all stall sometimes, the later core ECU software from Lotus does help but mine has the latest on he 06 ECU and still does it sometimes. I have looked for fixes and never succeded sadly

It never stalled before , I have had an 04 NA and a 06 S also with no stalling , i have had this 08 S240 longer and more miles though.

Was it you ?

I think part of it maybe driving style as well, I tend to dip the clutch almost as I stop while pulling up to lights rather than coasting, maybe that is a difference?

Essex should be able to tweak things if they do a road tune after their dyno tune…

There is a small brass orifice in the supercharger bypass actuator in the hose barb that can get dirty over time causing A/F fluctuations on coast down and poor responce time with the supercharger…

I removed mine on day one…I like things snappy

Plan C , I’m going to take the TRD airbox off and fit this today, the carbon is a real bonus

Nice worktop!

i thought TRD was the way to go…i’m about to fit one, am i making mistake? The carbon king would approve I’m sure.

The fit on my TRD was pants , You can have this TRD if you want it .
