Current Insurance Help

Hi, all - I know there have been a few posts on this over the years but I’d like to get some info on your current policies, please.

Having had my insurance with CCI for many years (12 or so) they were bought out by Footman James a couple of years back - they now tell me that they cannot offer me cover!

Am looking for limited mileage cover including track days & need to sort it asap (even though I’m working abroad at present).

Who have you got our insurance with & how do you get trackday cover - is it included?

Many thanks,

Mark

Classicline :+1:
TD’s included. Six I believe.

I have used Henderson Taylor and Reis, both offer track days. I had to give up with CCI when they said I had to use my track day cover!

Henderson Taylor for me too. Includes 5 track days/year.

Same as Tim, not that I’ll track it.

Me too, same as JF.

I also used to use CCI before they went downhill
Now using Reis for my S1, covers track days and nice to deal with
Also never heard a bad word about Matt at Henderson Taylor (used them years ago when I had my Cayman)

Report back how you get on, my renewal’s due soon

Really useful this as CCI seem to want to disappear from Performance Insurance - not been particularly impressed by REIS but need to insure my next car so may try HT

FJ (CCI) came back after I told them this was going onto social media and they offered me insurance! Was £327 now offer £430 inc 6 track days.
Am trying out the others you’ve recommended, thanks, & will let you know.

Hi all - feedback below doe S1 Exige, 3k miles pa, fault accident last year, £50k value.
Reiss - phoned 3 times & could not talk to anyone so gave up.
Henderson Taylor - £503, 6 track days, £550 road excess.
FJ (CCI) - £440, 6 track days, £1k road excess.
Classic Line - £298, 6 track days, £350 road excess.
Manning UK - £255, unlimited trackdays with ADTL providers (you don’t need to tell them), £250 road excess.
C1RVY gave me Manning UK’s name - they are a broker & they won hands down!
Hope this helps!

Do Manning do agreed value Mark? Tracker required etc?

Interesting. Will definitely try Manning next time.

Currently insure the Elise with Direct Line for £265 just spoke to Manning UK whilst they are no cheaper (same price within a few £s), it is agreed value £18k and has unlimited track days, not that the Elise will ever go near a track! Looks like they will get my business this year, oh and that is basically the lowest premium that scheme has LOL

A friend of mine (and a total lotus nut!). Kim Eaton Works for Routen Chaplin insurance brokers. www.routenchaplin.co.uk (01159734437) worth a call to get a quote. Unfortunately they don’t do track day cover but can do specialist and modified cars. I have always been very well looked after by Kim and the team there.

This is interesting. Great comparison post Mark. I have used Henderson Taylor for a fair few years, but the renewal this year just seemed excessive. I will give a few of the people you have listed a call. Will try your contact too Steve.

Mark - many thanks for this thread - found it so useful

I really am surprised at the lack of customer service from some of the insurance providers :unamused: - most can’t be arsed to get back to you unless you chase them

But a big thumbs up for Manning - they delivered for both the Exige and the Mac  - thanks Mark

:open_mouth: :open_mouth:
You should try having a Bradford postcode. Double it at least for an S2 Exige, probably double it again for the 250 Cup… And that’s for an oldie

What are ADTL providers Mark? Manning were good for me too, £296 for the year, which is about £90 less than REIS.

For now I have insurance without TD cover. Any advice on topping up with cover?
Does Hillclimbing count as a TD?
I have Shelsley driving school coming up and demo runs at Supercarfest at Shelsley.
