Could this be the end of my Exige??

En route home from another huge learning curve care of Andy Walsh and his CarLimits days Lou and I decided to pull over on the M1 for a brew. Suitably refreshed we were about to rejoin the motorway for the run home when this happened

The driver of the Pug didn’t see me a couple of car lengths behind him and reversed (very quicky) over the top of us.

Gutted

gutted for you mate but as long as everyone was ok, cars can be repaired

Absolutely horrific Can’t imagine your’s & Lou’s thoughts as you sat in the car, but thank goodness you’re both okay.

Blime! If everybody is okay I’m sure everything else can be sorted.

Ian

Really glad that you’re both OK albeit a little in shock.

Like Maddog says though, cars can be repaired and glass fibre always looks terrible when it breaks up. I dare say that it may need a few new panels but there’s no reason why it couldn’t be absolutely perfect again.

That has got to be one of the most stoooopid accidents EVER.

How can somebody decide to reverse fast enough to do that?

Surely he must be paying for everything, and no, don’t let them write it off, it just needs some new fibreglass, a respray and it’s as good as new.

Sorry for you mate, but take the opportunity to lugh this off. That’s something you don’t see very often

Gutted for you, but the main thing is you’re both ok.

Hard to tell the full extent of damage on those pics, but I hope you can get it sorted.

Tim.

We’re both fine but it was a shock watching the car mount and drive over the top of us.

The insurance inspector/engineer guy is due round sometime today so should know a bit more a bit later on. I have my fingers crossed that it is just panel damage.

Try to get a cash settlement without the car being written off and repair it yourself using either secondhand parts or maddogs carbon panels . I reckon lotus repair costs will be in the region of 10-12k but you could do it for half that figure easily

Unbelievable. The A pillar should be the only potential problem, the drivers side looks like it took the brunt of it.

Glad you are both OK. The Pug driver a) is a tosser b) must have been in shock too after.

oh my god!!
hope you’re all ok.
good luck with the car repairs.
i used to have your car as my screen saver!
DEan

God rich!glad you are both ok.I had a long journey back from the day,but nowhere near as eventful as yours. At least the vandal damage all gets sorted

Marc.

Now there’s a great idea…Dave!!!

That is utterly amazing! What is that Pug driver think that they are some sort of stunt driver?
Did someone yell “Cut and print” afterwards!

I hope it all works out for you and that the car ends up better than before.

Is there a case there for some sort of driving without care or similar? At least you are OK, bad luck squire.

Glad your both ok, it must have been a horrendous experience.

Only one thing, and sorry if this sounds insensitive, but what seats do you have in the divers side, they look awesome .

Best of luck with the repairs though.

David

David

They’re the EliseParts carbon fibre seats
clicky

Awful, just glad you’re all ok.

Hope the Pug driver isn’t going to claim you drove into the back of him. Have you got witnesses?

Glad you’re both ok.

What did the pug driver actually say?

Sorry mate I didn’t see you?
