Hi All,

Bought an S1 Exige a couple of weeks ago… been looking for a long time for the right car.

The car is Quartz Metallic, Honda NA (SC being fitted in 2 weeks), Nitrons etc…

Just had the wheels refurb’d, will have some body work done to get rid of the stone chips… although I appreciate they will be back…!

Car looks absolutely standard apart from the Honda engine - and that is the way I intend to keep it.

It is an absolute joy to own (so far) - the reaction from other people is great… thumbs up, people stopping to let you out of a side street, people taking pictures etc… stark contrast to the other “fun” cars I have owned!

Just thought I would say high…! :slight_smile:

I am planning on sticking to the SC - although I may consider the charge cooler if I think the car needs it… but I am not sure it does. I will not be changing the car cosmetically - looks perfect the way it does!

I will be on track…soon. I have done a lot of track days over the years, but not in an exige - so really looking forward to it.

Welcome Mark - that feeling does not really go away. I’m approaching six years of ownership and I’m like a kid at Xmas with the thought of picking up my car from JSRacing on Friday :slight_smile:

I appreciate the car is no longer original with the Honda engine, but to be quite honest I would never have bought one otherwise - IMHO it has always lacked power… the Honda SC changes that! :smiley: Each to their own - thanks for welcome

I know your comment was directed at Benja, but the first upgrade I have ever done on any of my cars is always brakes!! Be interesting to see mine fair on track - larger grooved discs, goodrich hoses, srf and pagid rs14 - probably ok. If not then I will upgrade to the AP 4 pots.

I’m full of hope Pete! I’ll be back in the saddle on Fri and will get it out on track for a good thrashing and then report back.

For Mark’s benefit my brakes were far from stock but I’ve had some on-going issues which hopefully are now in the past.

and may I congratulate you on the spec.

S/C Honda is the bees knees as far as I’m concerned and I just wouldn’t change mine as I can’t think of another car that would give me the thrills the exige does.

Like Ben I’ve had mine for 7 years and for me the Honda just elevates the car to a whole new plane.

If your going to get the charger get the Integra DC5 manifold as that’s the one that the charge cooler uses (I think) so if you wanted to add that later you don’t need to buy another manifold.

I love my Honda SC and since I don’t ever plan to sell having it how I want it is a priority over keeping it real :wink:

I am surprised at how long some of you have had your cars… I have never owned a car longer than 3 years in my life, and as for “fun” cars they usually last 2 years at max… hopefully the exige will change all that!

It appears the VHPD bunch are friendlier…! :astonished:

Once you get it on track hopefully you’ll see how much fun they are and why people get the under their skins :smiley:

If you’re going for the SC I’d say it was probably worth chargecooling it at the same time…
