Ok, I still don’t have any pics to post up as I’m still waiting from them from MMG…Liams a great mechanic but no photographer (!) so I’ll probbaly end up taking my own pics and emailing them over to you on Monday as I’m picking the car up tomorrow. In the meantime I’ve got the prices and parts list for their kit listed below:
Full size high efficiency pre radiator (to be mounted in the main rad stack due to size - not a nose mounted small rad like the Hanger111 setup)
Uprated, higher efficiency + larger core standard radiator
Chargecooler in polished alloy (Satin black powder coat available at extra cost)
Bosch pump
Polished alloy header tank
Ally heatshield in silver heat reflective coating (carbon heat shield available at extra cost)
2 X large spall motorsport fans
All pipework, brackets, sundries, etc
1,250 for the full kit with a fitting/labour price of 600 to 800 (variation depending on age of car)
Also the fans are top mounted for better efficiency…not bottom mounted as I 1st thought.
Both the rad’s and chargecooler are made by Radtec exclusively for MMG.
GROUP BUY on this kit now listed in Parts for sale section of the forum.
If anyones interested call Liam at MMG Performance on Tel 0121 323 5149. He’s away for a week from Saturday, back open again on 3rd May.
lol…no Burnt orange although in the sunlight it looks very very close to chrome. It’s only at night or under artificial light does it show where the extra 2 grands worth of paint was spent (!)
Yes i couldnt help but get the RLS lightweight tubes in matching burnt orange.
It’s really strange - I’d have sworn that my car never suffered from bad heat soak until i had the chargecooler kit fitted. The car feels much friskier (like on a really cold day) all the time. i had to sit in traffic for over an hour yesterday in central london and the car accelerated away at full power…strange when you’re brain get used to the usual slower performance 10 mins after starting up.
Incidentally my water temps never raised above 88c even in the sun and traffic…that uprated rad is really good.
yes…its killing me to drive the carlike my nan (been told to drive slowly until the fuel pump, etc and remap as it will be running lean). The fekin exhaust sounds amazing…it’s not helping me keep a light right foot!
Just the chargecooler and uprated rad, TRD Airbox and larger bore 2bular manifold, decat and back box. The car feels lots quicker already even though I’ve not took it over 5k yet as I know it’ll be running lean until the rest of the mods and remap (booked for the 7th May at Sinclairs).
It should be interesting to see what it makes on the dyno…I’ll basically have the same setup as you except the bigger bore exhaust and 550c fuel injectors.
Jim’s telling me the larger exhaust will make the biggest difference whilst Wayne at Sinclairs is telling me it’ll be the fuel injectors that will make all the difference.
Ade if you were a betting man what do you think it’ll make?
I suspect it will be similar to mine, the fuel injectors will make little to no difference as the amount of fuel it needs is just that, there might be a slight gain from the exhaust but in all honesty it will be very minor, so 270hp@the hubs, if Wayne is using the same size pulley I have?
Jim’s sure the exhaust will add another 10bhp and Waynes telling me the fuel injectors are 100% needed to reach more than 270bhp…the salesman speak again eh!
Looks like Ade only has 270 bhp then, No wonder he could not get past me at Anglesey [/quote]
I can post the dyno of 273bhp @ the hubs if you like +12% or whatever it is this week for losses and its around 300hp at the flywheel, my problem is both the car and me are lardy
