Car Robbed. S4

I posted this on MLOC first as I know quite a few are members but better everyone knows… I’m cool btw, could have Been worse.

I took a phone call from my wife at Chatsworth, I think I was talking to Paul by his Europa about the call actually but a lady had knocked the door warning that Audis were being targeted in W. Mids and that a Sprint Blue RS4, a Q5 and a few others had been stolen all in close proximity.

So I parked my Sprint Blue S4 Avant at Virgin Active in Lichfield at 3.15 and walked in, worked out for 45mins (hardly worth it I know lol) walked out and GONE!I can see the fella now a few hours after but it didn’t register at the time or just after but CCTV shows me being followed by a chap in a cap. I swipe my card and walk in, he blags the girl but she’s forgotten what he actually said… He follows me into the changing room, from here he must have clocked which locker I used, I walk out, he walks out and sees me go upstairs. He walks back into the changing room stays for five minutes, opens my locker, goes through the bag, just takes my key (not wallet, not watch or phone) pops the bloody coin back in, walks out jumps in my car and it’s goodbye Audi.

I should be pissed of but I’m not. This is the third time, the first was the worst as baseball bats were involved and they’d been waiting for me. Second I was burgled and now this. What’s a bit scary is if my key hadn’t of been in my bag I would never have known or maybe he’d already been through someone else’s.

I’ve asked Virgin Active that I’d be interested to hear how they plan to review security as it was such an incredibly audacious yet crafty act… The young fella acting in charge while another General Manger is appointed was a little vexed by what I was asking…How should I handle this with Virgin Active any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that Jonny, bloody scumbags. Like you said coulda been worse…still makes my blood boil though.

Not good, these guys get braver all the time. All these incidents have put me right off fast audis and bmw. Think I will stick with my diesel…

Very sorry to hear that Jonny, that totally sucks.

As you say the only plus side is that it wasn’t at home and it can be replaced.

Sadly they stoop to any level. 18 months ago they turned over my house and took my new Mondeo diesel estate.

Bloody he’ll there was me just scanning those on Pistonheads

Terrible news Jonny, sorry to hear that

I hope you see some sort of resolve

Gutted for you mate. As you said it could have been a lot worse. You’re not the first and I’m sure not the last to fall victim to this crime.

I always carry my keys with me when I go to the local gym for this very reason. I hope the insurance company comes good…

Jeeze , sorry to hear that , you can’t have anything now , what happened the first time ?

Leaving work on our ind est, I was last to leave pulling shutters down. Two fellas came running from around a hedge with bats…

Jesus! Sorry to hear mate, scumbags the lot of them.

I must say I hear this time and time again with fast audi’s, really scary stuff. I keep looking at 1m’s but I have to say I don’t think I would sleep at night.

That’s not good to hear mate, it was a lovely car as well (probably why they wanted it…)

Just pleased to hear neither you or the family were in harms way while they went about their business!!

Time to move perhaps?

Cheers fellas

Hell m8 … Not again ffs :frowning:
There’s some scum around alright …
Hope insurance company play ball.
Manufacurers need to add security somehow ,maybe key +electronic code etc…

I saw that cctv video on p/h where that gang took the car with a key programmer…

Bloody hell! Cheeky sods! Bad luck, hope it all gets sorted :frowning:

Sorry to hear this Jonny, i hope you get it sorted soon.

Damn mate, glad you are ok, that’s the main thing.

Strangely, it was another thing that made me think twice about getting a B7 RS4… I was burgled when I had my old RS4 whilst we were upstairs asleep… Pretty sure they were after the car keys as they didn’t take wallets etc… Even though I’ve updated security since, it still weighs on your mind.

Fingers crossed I’ve never had a problem with the M3, perhaps not a suitable getaway car I guess…

Very sorry to hear Jonny, good that you are ok tho’- makes my blood boil - folk put in a lot of hard graft to own nice motors, then these lowlife scrotes just come and help themselves!!
