I should perhaps add that they’re not just targeting fast Audi’s. One of my friends had a 58-plate RS4 and a new A3 stolen from their house. He only found out when the RS4 turned up in someones front garden at the house where another two Audi’s were stolen and the bemussed owner phoned the police. Not sure why anyone would swap an RS4 for two lesser Audi’s but they knew exactly where and how to disable the tracker in the RS4.
Sorry to hear about the car Jonny.
Sure it will all get sorted by the insurance and you have definately had more than your share of car thefts.
That’s dreadful. I think I’ll abandon any thoughts about buying an RS4.
Looks like becoming country wide problem with Audi’s.
Just been out to check the A5 and TT that no spare key in the glove box.
Trouble is, the scumbags won’t know that until they’ve broken into your car…do they then break into your house?
I got rid of my Mitsi Evo V1 in 2001 (for the Exige) because I was shit scared driving it daily around the Manchester area, knowing 2 other local owners had been carjacked.
Terrible state of affairs, but c’est la vie!
Shite mate , unbelievable ! Is this going on nationwide with Audis ? I’m probably a bit sheltered in Lincoln and its not hit us yet .
gotta wonder how long before they bring biometrics into cars
however they’ll steal your finger then
It’s becoming like the late 80,s again when Cossies were being lifted every 5 minutes…
Lichfield ,where Jonny,s car,s have all gone from is actually a very nice area ,but, unfortunately isn’t far enough from the city…
The drug market is currently flooded with crack cocaine and heroin being available for 5 a hit … So the drug gangs are turning their attention to more lucrative activities ,hence the boom in prestige cars vanishing…
Imho anyhow !
FFS. That’s terrible
any of them had tracker?
When I had a E39 M5 they insisted on tracker being installed.
Stolen-Recoverd. Two chaps seen putting the car into a lock up near Northwich were reported as suspicious. Plod popped over today, moved aside the fake plates and its mine. I need to nip up with the spare key and clear out the contents. Then its up to Esure to collect and change the locks before I can have it back.
Got to say Opie Oils of which I was taking home a delivery of engine oil and SRF that was in the car, retook my order today, gave me discount and free next day delivery. Top Service!
That’s good news jonny, hope there is no damage to the car.
And hope plod secures a conviction …
Good news

Great new Jonny.
Top job!
didnt expect that!
Bloody hell. Just got in to read this after a day at TDI. Like a great rom-com, there appears to be a happy ending.
Tidal wave of emotions for you, hope you’re OK?
Difficult to know what to say of the gym. Clearly they will have a get out clause, and it depends how bothered you are. You could put it done o experience and dine out on th storey or ask for a years free membership, or to cover your increase in insurance?
let us know of the outcome to the blighters be nice to hear of a positive outcome in getting them good and proper
Very sorry to hear that you’ve been targetted like this Jonny. But at least it’s been recovered. I hope all is well with the car when you get it back.
I’m a bit worried now, as we’ve just got hold of an A5. It’s only a diesel, but Helen is driving it everyday for work!
