Cadwell.. ?

So… how did it go lads (and ladettes) ?

Great Day, Great Peolple, Dodgy WeatherS**t Brakes, Lurvely Track (from what I saw of it!) Lets hope you make the next one…P&B

id like to say thanks to all the others for an excellent day , despite it being my first time on track and it being a particularly tricky one i had a great day and spent the 5 hour drive home thinking what i could have done better … once you get over the fear instilled in you by the briefing cadwell becomes a great track . its also really nice to be out there surrounded by people you know and can trust not to do anything stupid or aggresive . there are some very good very fast drivers in this group , lord whitter , russ , paul, to name a few and of course special thanks to pesky for co ordinating and general nice blokeness … anyone who hasnt done a track day yet , i highly recommend doing an exiges.com session … thats enough of me rattling on im off to wash my car

Fantastic day, great to put faces to names and enjoy Cadwell in the sun, rain and hail!Got some great video footage, anyone have any ideas how I can send it to someone to get it hosted? When’s the next do?

PaulSend it to me if you wish and i will shove it upSome not too good pics here http://www.lotusexige.net/Exige/Cadwell01052002/index.html B&P[This message has been edited by Brannan (edited 02 May 2002).]

Hi All,I too had a great day and it was great to meet everybody. I can’t think of anything to criticise except the hail storms! And, wasn’t it good to disprove the theory of the briefing. i.e. “one make days are always a problem” by being the only session not to get stopped.Thoroughly enjoyed the standing water induced wheelspin at 95 in third on the bottom straight! and eventually managing to get round “hairpin” in some sort of decent order! RegardsMike

For those of you who took the CD from Picture Management, I thought a quick high jump conest might be in order. Here’s my pathtetic attempt [URL:=hhtp://www.mikola.co.uk/exiges/Cadwellhighjump.jpeg]Some good video to follow, anyone got a couple of Gigabyte on a server somwhere?!Great-day fantastic weather! like Mike I thought I had a nasty miss-fire at 7K in third until I realised I was hitting the rev limiter on the bottom straight passing over standing water [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/shocked.gif[/image] great fun!!![This message has been edited by X111GED (edited 02 May 2002).]

What a great track Cadwell is! I’ve only been to my local one to date (Knockhill) and this is much more interesting, with a wide variety of corners and even a jump for good measure. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/shocked.gif[/image] Looking forward to going back soon. Also great to meet everybody and put faces to names. Cheers.

However, Mark 2’s are a somewhat sensitive area to even mention this week [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]

Great to meet up with most that post on the board, and to put a face to a name!Had a great day,but would like to thank Mike for taking me as passenger in the afternoon session’s (all three),Tony i do belive he would have been harder to pass without my mass in the car!Mike said in the last session “We will take it easy for the last one”,well i would hate to know what going hard would be like! Great ride Mike, thanks! [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]Pete.

Ditto all the above - thanks everyone. Did you see Tony Parramint applauding us all as we came in from the last session? I think we are getting a good rep. for being sensible, but incredibly fast and skilled drivers at the same time. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]

Hope you all got home safely, SandraReally glad you enjoyed the day. Hopefully your comments will encourage more lady drivers to come and join in, which IMHO would only serve to make these days even more enjoyable. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]Thanks again to everyone for a brilliant day! Anyone for an encore? [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

Both Brendan & I had a fab time - brilliant to met so many enthusiasts - Peksy’s the man!We only did one session - my brakes went down to metal(my fault) & Brendan’s clutch burnt out(lunatic driving style)We both got down to Spalding, 50 miles from Cadwell, where fate took a funny turn.We were directed to Kelsport, run by Pat Thomas, full on Lotus loon who runs a specialist workshop for lotus’.The place is incredible - an aladins cave of old & new racing Lotus’s in 5 acres of beautiful gardens. All his mechanics are full on. They changed my front discs, new EBC green pads all round and fresh brake fluid all for 375-00 incl vat and they did it while I waited. Brendans clutch, uprated light weight jobbie - 480 inc.Abs brilliant!Tel: 01775 725457 0r www.kelsport.net see ya soon!
