Brakes

Currently got an Exige s 220 and I need new brake pads on my standard calipers, what the best pads to replace them with, I drive fast road and track days. Also anybody had any experience with the Caparo brake kit and is it worth the upgrade,

Pagid rs42 seem to be the best.

RS42

All have a hunt tonight somebody recommended Carbone Lorraine RC5, if I put the RS4 on would you still upgrade to 4 pots look at the Caparo brakes, they any good

I wouldn’t… http://www.exiges.com/ubbz/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=164997&page=1

Sh** to put it nicely, RS4 sound good

I use ( in competition) these

Carbone Lorraine 4060rc5 Plus Pad

Carbone Lorraine 4115 Rc5 Plus Pad

With no problems :astonished:

Hillclimbs? Not quite the same type of workout as the pads get on a 20 minute track sesssion

I use them for Circuit racing too

EBC red here …
No problems but I rarely track…
Not sure why not many others use them ??

I’ve used 42’s, Rs14’s and am now using the performance friction

Not sure which model PF’s but they are the best I’ve experienced for road & track use

John at JSR can give you more info if required

Used them in the Exige circuit racing? Which series is that, please?

my mistake
I meant RS14

Podger?

750 Allcomers

In your Exige?

No

So what did you drive, in the 750 Allcomers? It’s always interesting to hear the views of racers, no matter what they drive.

Have you had the opportunity to try the Exige on track yet? If not, I’m hopeful you’ll be pleased with how well they perform “out of the box”. Geo setup is crucial in this respect though

Hope to see you out & about on track in 2012.

Pagids here, no complaints part from the dust that’s impossible to move but that’s fair cop for any track pad.

Might try PF next with a fluid refresh.

Pagids here too.

Had PF previously which were fine only the deposits knacker the finish on the wheels
