So my car is in at Sinclaire’s at the moment, I have to add to start with this is not there fault but…
Anglesey is starting to look unlikely, car goes in for a new 2bular manifold and silenced crp (developement part) there is a small struggle to get it to fit, now sorted
Then Dan their tuner is off for a week on holiday.
Come back Monday to dyno car, it’s all still looking good, but the car is running lean from 6k rpm and nothing he does will sort it. The fuel pump is now not able to supply enough fuel (it’s a bit worn). Upgraded one required!
Now the fun begins, Lotus have one in stock but it won’t be with them till Friday ish, Lotus motorsport have them in stock but they are not complete a wire is missing. So if they can get the one from the dealer parts chain it will be installed Monday on the dyno Tuesday, then they have to send the ECU off to have the map hard loaded onto the ECU (not sure why) if I’m really lucky and all goes well I might get it back Thursday night. This means I’ll have no shake down time and just have to drive up Friday, god this is going to be tight…
Things are looking up, Sincs went out of their way and got the pump in yesterday, being fitted this morning dyno this afternoon or tomorrow morning, so unless my ECU goes missing in the post when it goes off to be flashed I will have my car back. I still have no time to put some miles on it before the drive up so I hope it will be ok.

Just spoke to Sincs and pump is in and it has been on the dyno, more power was available, on the fourth full power pull the clutch gave out and slipped badly, well it was 15k old and the standard one so I suppose it was time for it to die…
Sincs again stepped up to the plate and said “We will pull the gearbox today and Wayne has a ACT heavy duty clutch at home he will bring in tomorrow”
So I’m going to be a hang site poorer and might end up eating rubbish from the bin over the weekend, but I will be there stalling the car and scared of all the new found power

You better not get overtaken at Anglesey Ade! I was looking forward to chasing down some of the modders
Damon sadly as I drive like a bit of a girl and have not done the new Anglesey track, I suspect I will be letting most people by. I will obviously have to back off the throttle a lot though to allow them to get by
How is the leg? Do you think you will make it to spectate?
Well it is still not difinative I will be there, gearbox was on the floor Saturday morning, but the map wasn’t finished before the clutch failed in a ploom of smoke.
So Monday AM install new clutch and replace gearbox
Monday PM finalise map
Tuesday send off ECU to have the map installed on the ECU
Wednesday company installs map and sends back
Thursday ECU delivery and install, road test and I pickup the car
Of course there is no chance of any of that going wrong is there
Being as this started as a simple new manifold and silenced CRP and re map…
