Looking really great. You and Dave are the looow-riders
Martin Edwards made a spot-calliper and bracket solution work for the handbrake which works well enough for modest slopes/mot…
Looking forward to seeing the car out on circuit…

Cheers Benja, hopefully I’ll be able to get on to an evening at snetterton in July to stretch its legs.
Have you got any contact details for Edwards?
Yeah, looking good!!
Drop a pm to SteveE matey
Quick track evening at snetterton. I need stiffer suspension!
The evening was cut short by an exploding cv boot. Hence the mess in the next photo, but that was replaced and the handbrake calipers are now fitted so at least it’s on the road.
which handbrake calipers are those again?
They’re the hi spec ones. Seem to work well enough.
Any more updates Jon?
Hi Ryan, unfortunately I haven’t done anything more to it, just had geo done by es Motorsport, just using it as and when weather allows. Still plenty I want to do though.
Get on the noisy day next week at Donnington buddy !! Would be good to see the car!
Really really want to get on but I’ve just had a few days off and don’t want to push my luck with the boss!
at least your using yours, mine is feeling a little bits sorry for itself, needs some serious hours spending on it, so im desperately trying to get the car back to my house so i can work on it in the evenings.
A couple of pics from the last outing
And 15 minutes in to the day… The latest modification
“Fortunately” the damage is just what can be seen, clam, splitter, headlight covers and the bonnet closing pin broke off. No crash structure or damage. The impact was low speed in to a tyre wall which did its job perfectly.
So onwards and upwards, carbon time…?
The cars looking great with its ‘low rider’ stance. Such a shame you had an off,…what happened?
Yeah I think some additional black.carbon would work really well. What you thinking?
Bollox, that’s a shame. Tell us more about the carbon…
Looks as though it was quite a wet track BACON
The track was stupidly slippery, no excuses but I’ll give you one anyway! I don’t tend to drive my car in the wet and haven’t done since the new brakes have been fitted. They lock up very easily in the wet it turns out! Anyway a combination of braking late and locking up saw me missing the turn in point and going on the grass. Once on the wet grass I was just a passenger, no steering or braking inputs I made made any difference to what the car did. I even tried the hand brake in an attempt to get the car sideways thinking there would be more friction but it didn’t want to know.
As for the carbon, I have been in touch with Lewis at lws designs, he makes a full carbon exige body. I’d like to start with the front end stuff that I need to replace broken and damaged parts and vinyl wrap it so its in keeping with the rest of the car as I get other bits, like roof, doors, etc.
Not sure if I’ll get it done for Anglesey
Bad times jon
Ouch… these things happen though and at least it’s not a bad one!
Car looks great in the picture before the bad one! - it’s my red twin !
