Back at it again.

Having a bit of a clear out and all the bits shown in this album will be in the for sale section soon. Need to work out what they are worth.

Carbon Rear Wing 133cm
Accusump plus all fittings
ITG Induction
Quicksilver 4-2-1 Manifold + decat
Quicksilver repackable back box
CG Lock (bit random)

Thats quite a machine!

Wait until after Anglesey as you may be putting it back on as you’re going to get bored waiting to pass people.

Resurrecting this thread as have a few plans this winter, and I’m sure you’d like some pictures of an Exige in bits rather than more Caterham talk

Shiny new 50mm triple pass radiator, thanks Dave.

Was supposed to fit this last winter but never got round to it. Had some time off this week so spent a few hours today getting the clam off and the previous rad out.

I’ve also removed the now redundant oil coolers. They had been disconnected a while ago when the car was moved over to a laminova, but this was the first time since that the front clam has been off to allow the coolers to be removed.

Deciding whether to change the Chargecooler pre rad as per the other thread.

What are your charge temps? Mine use to hover around 5-10 degrees over ambient and were always very stable. How many pumps do you use? I had a push and pull pump on mine which helped over the original single pump Proalloy supplied.

Finally been back to the car and got the radiator fitted and bled through.

Some top mount fans.

Typically the fans don’t have the right connectors on them so will need to sort that out.

I really need to replace the foam packing between the crash structure and the rad. Any ideas on the best place to get some replacement foam, and what would you use to stick it to the crash structure?

I bought the sticky foam on eBay when I did mine, bought several different heights to make sure I had a good seal.

So after last years disappointment, the car is finally coming back together again.

New TVS1320 Charger.

Extra oil cooling in the drivers sidepod. Still running the dry sump and laminova, but wanted some extra cooling without long oil runs to front of the car.

For those that aren’t aware the timing chain had snapped after a cam follower cracked and a loose piece interrupted the chain.
As a result the engine has had a full rebuild. Valve guides, valves, cam, followers, and the block has also been sleeved. Going back to standard cams.

Supercharger has been changed from MP62 to TVS1320. Extra oil cooling.
Drysump pump and tank stripped and rebuilt.
Electrics relocated into the cockpit.
Chargecooler remanufactured.
New driveshafts.

Additionally fitting the SSC larger brake master cylinder.
Nitron front uprights, and having the Ohlins serviced as one had started to leak.

Its getting there, and really looking forward to getting it back.

GT3 clam, carbon doors, and quaife sequential aren’t going on just now. So if you know anyone that is looking these may, or may not, be for sale at the right price.

Sounds good . . and fast

Sounds epic Will. I can’t wait to see it at Anglesey, especially out on circuit :sunglasses:

Excellent Will :sunglasses:

Lots more photos please…

Be interesting to see if the TVS is quieter

Ooooof :sunglasses: Looking good Will!

You must be getting excited, you won’t have driven it for a whole year huh!

Yes, definitely looking forward to getting it back. The M3 is awesome, but as we know the Exige is on a different level, particularly if they’ve been breathed on a little
I hear it was actually running today, so next step will be to get it properly mapped for the new setup.

Awesome

So its finally back and tucked up in the garage. It’s running really nicely, cold start, idles well, bit quieter, savage mid range torque, still pops nicely on the overrun/upshift. All good. Going to take a little getting used to again, and needs properly run in before a final fettle of the map.

I need to list all the mods for the insurance again, so will post up here once done.

Woohoo, it’s back

Looking forward to seeing you out this season Will.
