Back at it again.

Have you had it weighed since all the changes?
My engine spec will be similar (if I build it)
Sleeved block
10.5/1 Wiseco pistons
Crower rods
2.6" pulley
Standard Cams
Be interesting to see how the measure up power wise if it is done

Sounds wonderful. I’d like to see some pics of the completed job as I enjoyed your early posts about the work.

Fair play Will!!

Very nice Will,

I read the thread the first time but after reading it all again this morning its very interesting what you had to do to the d/s tank to make it fit. I have one here almost identical in design that needs to find a hole to fit in…
Ade, one is an Exige, and the other one…

…isn’t
I assume you mean the one that retains the engine it was designed for is the exige… while the other has taken the first step to becoming a TT?
So, its been a while since the last update, but as they say, “All good things…”

Car is back with me and I’ve been enjoying putting some miles on it this weekend. Its been dry but it certainly requires a healthy doze of respect.

Final figures from the mapping:

329 bhp @ 8470
219 lbft @ 6615

Having retained the 285 cams there is bags of torque thoughout, with it being above 200 lbft all the time it is on second cam.

I’ll post up some pictures and more details of the things done when I get some more time.

They are some very nice figures from the yota engine… Fair play!

The car I am looking to purchase is a rebodyed Elise so not even an Exige to start with…

It may be a fab track car Ade, but an Exige it is not.

No offense intended to seller or any potential buyer, but I think it’s important to distinguish between the real ones and the look-a-likes.

You should keep the S2 mate, especially after all your mods

Few extra pictures from during the build.

Larger chargecooler.

Original for comparison

Exhaust:

And installed:

You can also see the Sector 111 rear tow eye.

Is that a sport cat or a silenced decat?

Silenced decat.

Car has been running superbly. Having to be pretty careful with it. Not used to this 3rd and 4th gear wheel spin

It has been back at Hangar 111 this week for a spanner check and an oil change. While it was there had the corner weights checked. Really pleased with the results when you consider the car now has a rear cage, charge cooler, and the dry sump gubbins.

That is with 80kg in the drivers seat and 35 to 40 litres of fuel. By my reconning that still puts it under 900kg. About 370 brake/ton. Not near Frank but enough for me for now.

Spa then?

Afraid not. Planning on more days closer to home this year until I start to forget how much this has all cost

Donny on the 27th April then

Very temping. Got Snetterton next weekend, then Anglesey. Will see how I’m doing on the noise front before signing up.

Oil cooler and jubu equipped in the gearbox should hopefully keep it safe.
Wheelspin in 3rd ? Ooerr …are you still on the open diff Will?
Looking very potent and should scare a few Honda S/C S1,s

Will was pretty good at that even before he started fooking about with it…

Agreed … The quickest ,most accurate pax ride I’ve ever had !!
