Audi TT - Insurance?

Just picked up our new car this week, but a little gobsmacked with insurance quotes!! Was going to put it in the GF name - 27, 4 years no claims and a clean license. Best I got this morning was 900 with CCI (700 in my name), although they quoted her 600 2 months ago! All the other insurers seem to be around the 1,400.

What I don’t get is the Lotus seems to be cheaper to insure, despite being modified?!

…so can anyone recommend a good insurer?

money supermarket?

Try Audi insurance, they were the cheapest for me which was a surprise. Also don’t forget premiums are currently excessive due to blame sue culture and people only see a fast buck and it pushing premiums skywards

On the free audi insurance at the mo…will give them a call.

They usually drop you a quote anyway, I was surprised they saved me 100 over everyone else…

Nick,

My Mrs pays (or should I say I pay) about 320 ish for her TT with Sheila’s Wheels which was renewed 2 months ago.
Looking to change hers to black edition too and when she called them a couple of weeks ago it same price but there was a small admin fee.

She is 39 with full NCD.

Oh, Steve, never give away a lady’s age!
My Mrs pays around 320 too, full NCB. Age: mature

Insurance is such a joke! Seems to be cheaper for us males now.

Audi insurance wanted 1,700 in her name! Bets quote money supermarket came up with was LV at 800. The rest are well over 1k.

I agree , they were the cheapest for me too, I run a 3.2 TT Quattro, I’m an old person , retired, and I was quoted 400 last Feb

I used Tiger as a comparison site , over the last 18 months , and gone with their quotes on my (old) Elise , (new) Exige, and my wife’s Fiat Arbarth

Clucking bells, when I was considering the RS3 I checked for insurance quotes and it was only just over 500 with no tracker!

I know she never reads the forum so I knew I was safe giving her age Steve

She has been with Shiela Wheels for about 3 years now and although every year if went up a call to them got it down again.

Likely to be cheaper as we live in the sticks and only does 8k miles a year.

Before I changed the Exige to Hendersaon Taylor this year I saved on my insurance by putting her as named driver. She never drives it as she cant reach the pedals

Admiral Multicar!

It’s been stupid cheap for me!

200 for the exige modded to as much bhp as I like (there’s no upper limit once you go beyond >26%)

300 for the wife’s CRV

300 for my audi A3.

Both my cars have totalled less than my gtr on its own!
