It is finally happening!!

I really am very pleased for you - I know you have been looking forward to it ever since your drive in the Audi powered beasty. There will be a lot of people on this site following your progress with great interest.
Now don’t go spoiling it by painting the nuts red!!
Tony

and before you get to much further - wire brush those rusty bolts! But don’t paint them red!

How about [color:“orange”] ORANGE [/color] to go with my new engine cover ?

Who said you aint got no style…

I got the hang of this image thing!!

Mike, one piccie with gearbox and one without. Does the gearbox go on once the engine is in, or did you attach the gearbox before putting the engine in?

The picture with the gearbox attached is the later one…

It’s a lot easier to drop the combined unit in (assuming you have a hoist, that is !!)

Lord help us…

Looking good. You must be itching to have it finished by now. Can’t wait to see the end result.

Itchy and scratchy…

Here is another pic showing the whole engine and gearbox in place…

Another few days !!!

I know Exiges have a personality, but did you really have to put a blanket over it’s head before you tarnished it’s @rse with a foreign body

Seriously though, it looks the biz …if just a liitle non-original

Mike, as you may be aware, my Exige is the next one to get a 300bhp conversion from Bernard. Incidentally I have also bought the Motorsport cover.
Maybe we should have a supplementary sticker made to put next to the Exige one on the back. It needs to be big because people won’t have much time to read it!

Cool - I’ll just take your engine cover to Bernard then !!!

BTW - it’s not a blanket - it’s camoflage !!!

Hi Mike
I was lookling through an older thread where you described your first ride with Bernard and almost loosing your lunch. I got a ride from him a few weeks ago and I agree with everything you said. I was scared sh–less! Now I don’t feel like such a weenie. Now I have to figure out how to convince SWMBO that I need to do this. Bernard has done a first class job on the development and construction.

Cheers

Listen carefully to your engine…

Can you hear the symcargulator whining, indicating that the electro-modulator is overdriving the rheostatic function ??

You’ll need to replace the engine immediately !!!

I imagine you will be devastated, knowing as you do, that a new K series will set you back at least 12,000…

But wait - help is at hand - you could get the whole thing replaced for around half the price - saving nearly six thousand pounds…

(Cue Cavalry charge trumpet !!!)
