Anyone has Jenvey DTH throttle bodies on their S1?

Are they any better than standard in terms of performance?

Yes they are machined to a high standard, work, & can be properly balanced.

Sounds like another dissatisfied Titan user, like me!

I’ve got Jenveys on both cars and never had a problem with them. That said I’ve got a couple of sets of Titans lying around that have never had any issues either, but there are all sorts of other benefits to the jenveys… listen to Pesky!

so is worth to upgrade?

What do you want to achieve?

If your existing t/bs are working, & you’re not upgrading to Emerald ECU + verniers, I wouldn’t bother. Do the foregoing, plus Jenvies, & your car will be transformed in terms of driveability, & you’ll gain a few ponies too…from 5 to 15 bhp, depending upon the overall condition of the engine.

thanks guys, I already have the Emerald and Verniers and the idle of the car is so temperamental so want to get rid of this completely…

I too have a crap idle and the t/b’s have jammed WoT on a track day which was scary. Since a refurb (thanks SimonE and TonyP), I’ve had them in bits myself and can conclude that Titan T/B’s aren’t the best. I did consider going the route of a bike set up, but after checking out the Jenvey website after looking at this thread, discovered that the Jenveys are not much over 600 including the dreaded, not a bad deal tbh. May well think about saving up for some (Mrs B insists we have a month or two off from Exige expenditure)!

i think it is the only way to go for me since this will be the last upgrade for my engine…

Sounds eminently sensible, Sam

How many times have we heard people promise that before

LOL…i promised myself and Mr Bean will try to keep it as original as possible, beside i m re-using the original carbon airbox as it looks and performs better than that Bernard’s box…

I have heard that Bernards airbox is very good indeed.

Is good but not as good as original with the finish and size but it is made to match with the Jenvey though to save the hassle

just wonder can the original air horn be used on the jenvey?

I guess you would just need to adapt the original back plate or make another one. It would be simple to get laser cut. On the other hand I bet Jenvey would do back plates and it may be easier to get a Jenvey backplate and adapt that to fit the Lotus airbox.

No, they can’t. Whichever size throttle bodies you go for You’ll need Jenvey air horns and if you’re keeping the original injectors you’ll also need some of the 19mm spacers to give them room to fit - Spacers clicky. Jenvey used to only do 45mm air horns but also now do a very limited range of 42mm bore ones too, so you could use straight bore 42mm or 45mm spacers, or you can use 45mm air horns and spacers that reduce from 45mm to 42mm. Either way will require a new backplate as Sean mentioned.

You’ll also need a 2 twins fuel rail, with whatever fittings you prefer on the ends. - fuel rail clicky You’ll need a fuel pressure regulator too.

i went for the 42mm DTH throttle bodies and it completes with the fuel rail. I will get the new back plate made to fit for original airbox.

however are there any benefit of using carbon air horn? cheers

Just the look and some weight loss, I guess.
