Another Winter (ahem!) Project !

To be honest bud, there’s been so many changes all at once that it’s very difficult to tell what impact the diff alone has had. I always wanted to try and minimise the number of changes at once, but it’s very hard when its effectively a new car in terms of suspension/geometry!

The car feels a LOT different though, I think most is due to the lowered roll centre introduced by the uprights… its very difficult to explain the feeling, but the car just wants to hold a line and turn now… the grip level is something I’m going to have to get used to all over again, and to be honest, it felt very very good before ! As an example, going into the corkscrew it felt like a go-kart, no body roll and just gripped…

I certainly didn’t have any inside wheel slippage - which I usually get on the corner coming onto the start/finish straight at Anglesey, but like I said, it’s hard to say if thats the diff that’s stopping that now. Driving wise, I certainly didn’t find any downsides with the diff installed yet.

I’ve also found out I was running the dampers way too hard at Anglesey - something I meant to play with but other teething issues with the brakes meant I spent more time sorting that out.

Sounds good Dave!!

Interesting Dave, still toying with the idea myself. I was continually lighting up the inside rear onto the start/finish and and the sequences of corners after Rocket. Not that it matters really,…more importantly Wes looked like he was having fun with his diff

Like I said on the other thread your car has now got that pure racecar stance :sunglasses: Sounds like you’re gonna be unstoppable once you’re dialled in…

In my opinion LSD’s are great, they bring a car alive. Never felt any downsides with the ATB type diffs either.
