Another Exige announced by Lotus

Ok lads, I dont think the issue is with why they did it, and I think that we can all agree that its fantastic to see Lotus really focusing on racing, and I can see why it looks the way it does (even though its taken me two days to get there )…

But, my problem with the car is that, as Mr P quite rightly pointed out, this should be the definitive aspirational Lotus model, and for me at least that cant be the case, purely down to the way it looks, and thats kinda sad.

I mean, call me narrow minded for not taking in the bigger picture (that this cars design was very much dictated to it), but the GT3s styling, for me at least, portrays exactly the kind of things (in other words the only things) that I dont like about Motorsports, you know, the idea of chaved up corsas with out of proportion body kits and garbage can exhausts.

And when I look at the back end of that car, I cant help but feel that it would be more at home in Max Power live, than Geneva, and for my aspirational Lotus, thats a bit of a shame…

Fair do’s David

I’ve obviously not seen it in the flesh, but I reckon (hope!) that the photos & colour don’t do it full justice. If I’m wrong, I’ll be selling my newly acquired hoodies on eBay

I think it would look great in Dad Orange!

Surely you’d never buy an S2

Surely you’d never buy an S2

Oh I would… but only to join my S1, which I will never get rid of (barring financial need/physical incapacity etc!)

220S for everyday road use, plus existing S1 (supercharged)for track, would be just purfick
