Ok lads, I don�t think the issue is with why they did it, and I think that we can all agree that it�s fantastic to see Lotus really focusing on racing, and I can see why it looks the way it does (even though it�s taken me two days to get there )…
But, my problem with the car is that, as Mr P quite rightly pointed out, this should be the definitive �aspirational� Lotus model, and for me at least that can�t be the case, purely down to the way it looks, and that�s kinda sad.
I mean, call me narrow minded for not taking in the bigger picture (that this car�s design was very much dictated to it), but the GT3�s styling, for me at least, portrays exactly the kind of things (in other words the only things) that I don�t like about Motorsports, you know, the idea of chaved up corsas with out of proportion body kits and garbage can exhausts.
And when I look at the back end of that car, I can�t help but feel that it would be more at home in Max Power live, than Geneva, and for �my� aspirational Lotus, that�s a bit of a shame…
