… but the alternator is fried ! Game over!

Yeah, me too but not until about 3.30pm at the end of a great day out. LOTS of smoke and a very strange smell. Thank goodness I decided to trailer the car there…

Thanks to Rob to BaT and to all Exigers for a fabulous weekend of speed, determination, friendliness and, above all, FUN. Well done everybody - I don’t remember hearing a cross word all weekend (except for the drunk in the pub on Saturday evening!)

BTW, if anyone dipped out on a polo shirt and now decide that they would like one, we can run up some more if needed.
(Simon, we have yours in hand).

Hi everyone. I was at Anglesey on Sat in one of the BAT caterhams. Awesome day.

Can I ask who was in the black exige that I had a couple of laps ‘playing’ with ? Did you beep and wave at us in the paddock, the mechanic, me and my brother were a bit confused :O) If it was you, sorry for not giving the thumbs up or whatever :O) Judging by the way your car pulled on the straights and spit flames in my face mid corner, is it a honda sc ?

I think that was me - the flames does sound like me good few laps those and yes it is a SC Honda. You were pedaling that caterham fairly hard

I had my 18 stone brother (just the 120 kilos of blubba) in the car for ballast. We found the caterhams were noticably quicker without a passenger and handled even better. I am looking at buying one now because if thats how fast a 130 hp car can go (with 220 kilos of meat in it) against a 300 ish honda sc exige, the 200 hp ones must be bonkers. Your car handled well, would have been fun if I had brought my sc honda’d car along. We could have had a right battle.

Many thx again to Rob for sorting it! Quite simply I thought the whole weekend was super, the track great and so good to meet so many other Exigers!

Drive home was incident free… Sorry FatCat but I got bored with the traffic!!!

Hope those mechanical failures and gremlins can get sorted soon guys.

Thanks Ben for the track ‘entertainment’ and the great deal on the cover… though by the sound of it you may need that at Martins whilst waiting for the repair… the good news is thx to Steve the cover IS there!!

No probs Pete (so much for plodding ), after you went by we was stuck behind that pigging white fan for another 30 minutes or so, the bloody thing was only doing about 40 mph max and there was no way on gods earth could we pass him until we were past Llangolen.

O YES !!! what a great day thanks Rob for letting come along in my Elise, thanks to D for the curry night.

it was good to see so many cars their,and what great peeps
to do a track day with was nice to have a play with some of
the sc exiges.

i also like to thank johnny and wayne for the lift to the curry (and Sean they were driving your car like pansies )

Agree with all of the comments, good to put faces to usernames, Ben, Ian, Con etc. Great to see such a large collection of these cars in one place and out on the track

Who had the Green S2S think the plate was ?? LOT, ding donged with him most of the day and S1EXG…great stuff

R5LOT…that was me I don’t think we bumped into each other in the paddock though

I did come over but just missed you…were not by the car but I thought it was you. There’s a great shot of you and I on jfk’s vid in the other thread 8mins-ish in very close. Under braking I’d catch you up but on the straight with that supercharger it was a different matter and Simon I sat next to you at the curry thought it was you too…what a GREAT day !

You guys obviously had another brilliant Exiges day. …makes me sick I missed it due to Daughters move and now I’ve got a bad back. …will be fun at Doni in the rain. …oh well cant win them all
