Just returned from my first track day at Anglesey. Despite all my reservations, hesitations and prevarications, it was a great day. I even thought I was getting the hang of it by the end. Thanks to all those who offered encouraging words on the day, the evening before(!) and (Pesky) in the two years it’s taken me to finally get the old girl on track.
If i held anybody up apologies. I think I might have to do another before the year end . . .
I was very impressed with the slickness and efficiency of BookaTrack from the outset.I enjoyed every minute of my instruction from Sarah Reader who encouraged me throughout.
So, all in all, one hell of an introduction to the world of track days. Though I expect I’ll still be a nervous passenger if ever I dare get in someone else’s car.
Yep I had a cracking day too, I was having to be a little careful on my slicks so they had at least a token mm of tred for the ride home
I had a great day tho and was having loads of fun finding the lines and then loosing them again lol! I thought I did ok for my first time on a proper circuit too, although the way some of the gods came past brought me swiftly back down to earth
Yeah, was a great day with great driving by everyone. Thanks everyone for the push in the morning ; apart from Will and Johnny who keep tempting me to spend more money on the car .
Also I seem to have acquired a car starter pack that was left between the grey s2 elise and the 2-11. If it’s yours and you want it back PM me.
Another great day, its always better with lots of Lotus’s on a track day. There was a lot of fast cars today, its always good fun trying to keep up with the likes of Davep.
What a day!!!
Fantastic weather to help everyone get the most from some fantastic cars out there.
I am sporting some cracking Panda eyes this morning!!!
Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words whilst I hobbled around
Two highlights of the day for me…DaveP finally solving a year long saga with the cooling of his car…and the bar opening at 1600 - 3 pints sunk in 45 minutes [image]http://www.puregt.com/Forum/upload/images/smilies/beer-fresh.gif[/image]

Awesome day - weather couldn’t have been better and it’s always great to see so many Exiges together!
I can honestly say friday night was the best curry I’ve ever had in Bangor (to be fair it was pretty good I thought!) - thanks to Damon for sorting that.
Great to meet up with everyone again and meet some new people too… the social side and paddock chat makes the day all the more enjoyable for me.
Was a bit peed off in the morning as it seemed my coolant overheating issue still wasn’t sorted, but as always, it usually turns out to be the simplest bloody thing! - Huge thanks to Phil for the idea which seems to have finally solved it !!! - thinning the mix of antifreeze !
Was so chuffed to have it running with no issues and put some pretty long sessions in the afternoon (nice little stint on track following the 2-11 which was being driven very well, which was in turn following an SC Honda)
It really was a great day.
I have to thank my mate sanjoy in the white 340R for letting me tag along and have a couple of sessions in the car.
I had a great time playing with the black SC honda exige and anthony in chris pearsons old red/white race car.
Really makes me want a honda car again.
Anybody want to buy an immaculate S2 135R as a daily driver in addition to there exige tracktoy. go on, you know it makes sense.

I lady owner, no doubt!
Not sure about a great day, more like a bloody great weeekend.
We have just back in the house after a whopping 700+ mile round trip.
Big thanks to Rob for organising the day.
Nice to put some faces to some names and see some old mates again.
The weather was very kind and Anglesey will be up there with the other great trackdays I’ve experienced, just as much about the people as well as the driving.
Big thanks to Ade for allowing me to drive his car and to Will for showing me what a NA S2 Exige can really do.
Johnny - can you explain what happened with the Caviliar and pickup truck - looked very messy and not too good !
More later, just off to the pub for a well earned pint.
Hoping Johnyfox got back ok.
Does anyone know how long BaT normally take to get their pics online?
Monday !
Bat pics are up now !
Great day out, gutted to find my video was playing silly buggers. Anyone else out there get much footage ?
Good to meet the few that I did, showed up with bugger all kit as not much can fit in the 340 when you have Mckean in it! Thanks for the loan of sockets / oil.
