How about a trip with a slight detour this year and enjoy some Welsh roads and scenery?
I am thinking maybe head south after Chester services coffee stop and…
Go along the A494 fom Connahs Quay
Pick up the A5 near Corwen heading west
Enjoy the A5 west
Pick up A55 near Bangor and head over the island?
Its a lovely drive and a good starter for Friday: -)
What say you northern boys?
Not looked at it on a map as yet, but a great idea, as we do tend to linger over our coffees(the company is so good, obviously)

Guys I would love to join you but I think it will be very late by the time I get away - enjoy the road trip and see you on Friday.

Won’t you Northern boys need a gravy-break in your plan somewhere?
Maybe, but you are not invited. Now fook off back to your own (belated) thread Badger Boy

Good Idea Tim. Count me and my dad in

Good to hear that you two have permission to set off to Anglesey on Thursday
PS If you’re at a loose end tomorrow, why not pop down to Oulton to support a fellow Exiger in his first race of the season - I’ll be there?

Yes permission granted for the Thursday
Saturday was a family outing day, as I was busy working today with the young uns hoping they are the solution to the current problems of your boy hood team
Let me know what times you are planning and I’ll try to join you.
Will be with C1RVY I think.

This is the route i had in mind. If it is good to go i’ll print some copies to hand out at our meeting point?
This may be enough for a excursion, however we could go further south on the M6 first before heading west?
Let me know your thoughts
PS Gravy break(s) omitted for clarity. Join the southern convoy if you want to stop for a snooze and a milk shake

Looks good to me Tim, only downside is missing the tunnels but then again after last year maybe best for me to avoid them
I think the road & scenery will make up for the lack of tunnels
If the weather is bad on the day we could just revert to the usual route & enjoy (little bits of) the A55 instead.
Good to miss hammering down the A55, although tunnels and roundabouts do add to the fun.

Shame there are cameras in the tunnels now
I bet they don’t record second gear screaming exhaust notes though Steve
Is that 100% correct Steve? If so, thanks for the heads up!!!

They were there last year Rob. Fortunately the guy in the garage I stopped at after them told me they were not active, but bet they generate plenty of cash now.
