Us northern folk try to meet up every month for a bite to eat & some tyre kicking etc. Nothing formal or anything, but a good opportunity to catch up and have a laugh or two. Maybe a few more ‘regions’ should give it a go & post up what happend…with piccies of course

The north east has a pub meet the first Tuesday of every month, the location varies to give people a chance to have a run out to the meet.

I’d be interested in attending an all Exiges.com meet, but the majority of posters on here do seem to be north of Watford, therefore in a different time zone 
Perhaps when we know we are attending something car related in our local area, and there is a chance that another Exiger maybe going, we should advertise that fact and try and make the most out of it. After all I doubt any of us are really against going out of our way for a decent drive

I could make an Ace Cafe meet, just need to be careful what type of night we turn up on, don’t really fancy parking the Exige on the road when the guys in Cossies are doing burnouts outside

With the above in mind, I just spent a few minutes looking back through the Parts for Sale / Wanted - of which the section extends to some 140pages!!
Surely the items, some of which were listed in 2002 have been sold now , if not I’m going to send some PMs to the folk advertising quite low mileage S1 Exiges for £18-£19K, especially black ones! ‘Guest’ seems to have quite a lot for sale Likewise the Cars for Sale / Wanted whilst only 13 pages long, has ads dating back to 2008.
Perhaps we could modernise the section so that ads drop off after a certain period of time, or live ads rise to the top when an ad is marked as sold?
All the above serves as a good historical record of the ups and downs of Exige/Lotus ownership. One day some old historian researcher with scratch their beard with delight at uncovering such gems as these

Well I’ll try and help with some inane questions of the clique to do with my build and also try and keep the progress up to date. I’ve been around lotus forums for many years but I’m not a massive poster and have watched bcbbs die, made the jump to seloc (and traffic there has dropped also) and recently joined here.
Reorganising may help a little but it won’t get posts up (and may upset the regulars), that’s down to users, posting and doing things or telling people what they are doing/done and also replying to things…pot kettle black (aimed at me btw as I’ve sat on the sideline for years).
PS - just my 2p don’t have on-line spats also, doesn’t help with helping people post if they think they are going to get ridiculed, no one likes a keyboard warrior (so moderation is also needed) Its easy to hide behind a keyboard and throw crap, and some people do it for sport) in real life that person is likely to get…you get the idea.
What ever you do its not going to please everyone, so don’t try, its better to have tried and failed than sit and do nothing.
We don’t have any moderation on here. Occasionally Admin has stepped in but we are self-moderated bunch and pretty good at it although the brummies do test us from time to time
No offence meant with my post fella. I’m all for idea’s to liven the place up a bit but i wouldn’t want to see anything disappear from the board history.
Maybe its a seasonal thing? This forum is for me the best one available for a internet Lotus fix.
