I can now supply these (allow 28 days for delivery) for [color:“red”]650 [/color] plus p&p (approx. 30 in UK). Uprights & brackets not included, but available from Eliseparts. Please note that it is necessary to cut the clam to enable the wing to fix to the brackets, which themselves attach to the ali uprights bolted onto the longerons.
It’s such a fine line between the geniune track look and chav, but I think 650 worth of CF goes a long way to ensure it’s the former!
If it was MDF on the other hand…!!
Do you think it will cause MOT issues? I remember one of the things Lotus toned down for the Exige Type Approval was the original MS Elise pedestrian slicer! (rear spoiler)
It really looks very nice on your Exige Rob! Well done mate. And definitely isnt chav. I guess most of us would like to have one.
Any idea about the weight and dimensions?
AFAIK, Pre-preg C/F is a C/F fabric which is already mixed with the epoxy in the right ratio. The wet lay up C/F is when the laminator wets the fabric with the epoxy. Nowadays, both Pre-preg and wet lay up C/F can be cured in and oven (high temps), or not (just room temp).
I wouldn’t say it’s chav just because chavs don’t have Exiges, but…
Unfortunately I’m really not sure that’s true anymore Uldis!
I think I prefer the looks of the standard wing too but at the same time I’m torn by the fact that If you’re going to have something stuck up in the airflow why not have something that works more efficiently.

Nope, cos it’s a beautiful polished carbon fibre finish. It will match my motorsport engine cover when that’s fitted, as that has a carbon fibre centre section.
If I get chance this evening, I post a “close up” piccie of the wing.
PS Should have mentioned earlier that it’s exactly the same as was manufactured previously for Lotus, so it’s not a “cheapo” lookalike jobbie I think George Mckintosh’s Elise has one too, if you can recall what that is like
