A few pictures of the revamped Exige

Just had a respray and a cage fitted and it’s now almost complete. Just a few bad quality pictures at the moment. I’ll put some good ones up next week. [image]imagecave.com - contact with domain owner | Epik.com

Damn that’s horny.

Where did you get the engine cover ? - I want one of those !!

PS. Want the wheels too, but mucho dosh !

Regarding the engine cover, ask Mark Funnel. He has a mould and made mine in a matter of days.

Fitting it out with the aerocatches is a complete pain by the way!!!

Nice!

Bet it would look great if you sprayed it black underneath the headlamp covers.

Love the engine cover too but how do you go on for ventilation?

Sweet, thanks.

Yea…saw the aerocatches… are those brackets sturdy enough to keep the cover on ?

Ventilation isn’t a problem as all the rear recesses etc are cut out, there is no boot floor and no engine to boot divider wall. The engine cover does get hotish but it’s fibreglass, so doesn’t really matter.

The brackets are pretty tough and will easily keep it on. I will reinforce them slighly when I get a chance though.

Fook me that looks good!

Looks great Jamie - well worth the wait!

Looks amazing. What are those wheels BTW?

TMR forged jobbies.

What mirrors, they spa or reverie ones?

Neither, but I can’t remember what they are now. They are carbon but not all that light compared to SPA ones.

Nice. Is it inter-cooled yet? Makes a huge difference.

Jam the car looks the Nuts!!!
Loving that colour.

Dav simply bolting on intercooler does it make more BHP as it is, or is it that you can then up the boost of the supercharger when running a intercooler?
I know on turbo cars if you put intercooler on then you can up the boost of the turbo which means more bhp.

both. fitting the intercooler with the same pulley ratio will make more power because you has less loss.

Ok Cool! Thanks Dav

I take it that its fitted in the engine compart as no other room else where.

There is a radiator that goes in the front under the main rad. Then a water to air heat exchange goes between SC and manifold. The water is kept close to ambient air temp and pulls the charger temps down to a stable level around 55-60C at full noise in race conditions based on our ambient temps of 35-40C. The water is circulated via an electric pump and there is a small aluminium reservoir fitted.

This WAY more efficient than any air-air charge cooler as they are sucking hot air for a start then suffer heat soak.

I have ordered the charge cooler but am unsure as to when it’s being fitted. I’ll post up again when it’s all done and let you know what I think.

Wow sounds great. Great timing, getting a full race exhaust fitted tomorrow(up and over one no cat like jamwill). Will try and get them to fit this to. Sounds costly tho. just printed up your post, just incase they dont understand me trying to explain it.

Thanks again Dav
