A decade of Exige ownership

Always thought my Blue zircotec manifold should be on show, you just can’t see it, your does look really good

Thanks lads, on the train heading to Matt to pick the car up now :sunglasses: always excited to get behind the wheel again. Got my camera too to get some pics the one time it will look that pristine.

Yes Ade, the S1 especially with an OTT exhaust does showcase it. I know it’s gonna go creamy coloured and get a patina of use but I’m cool with that.

I’d love white wheels again  never Rimstocks though they are too hard to clean. If I ever got some Speedlines or other 5-spoke jobs I think is have to run 'em white for a season.

Car is back. My list of small niggles following the refresh all sorted out by Matt, another top job. Notice also the full complement of gold dome-nuts,…phew  Then there is the white exhaust :sunglasses: It looks pretty mental…doing the tail-pipe white was probably an error but I don’t think it will stay white long.

Great to have it back and remind myself what a fantastic machine it is. So all ready for Anglesey,…oh hold on…apart from as I walk back to it in the work carpark I notice one of the rears looks a bit flat. Yep sodding great big screw in it  Luckily I had a pump with me and it help enough pressure to get me home. Another bloody thing to sort out when I thought it was good to go :unamused:

Well mate that looks splendid and rather classy my man.

looking very clean

Lovely, can’t wait to see it in the flesh

Not seen my car since July,…hopefully going to get it on Friday

The value will have outstripped inflation, I dare say.

Maybe, but I just keep chucking money at it that more (like waaaayyy more) than offsets any possible increase in value  I’m not selling it anyways…

Looks nice and tidy  one day I will have an engine bay like that…

Home after a picking up the car from Matt Bentley Racing…cheers Matt.

Awesome to be back in a properly quick car again

It feels pretty different with the Ohlins, like someone else’s car. It’s certain evident that it is softer sprung and is much more pleasant on the road (relatively  ) It was rainy, very slippery and dark so not really the time to explore. Car was seriously steamed-up and I thought the ‘recirculate’ button was pressed, so I pressed it,…it wasn’t, but now it’s stuck on :unamused: Sauna me up all the way home, not good.

Cheers Tim for the lift in the C63, top lad. I was seriously taken with the car. Understated, well-appointed, comfortable but with a sledgehammer of an engine. Seriously what an engine and what a sound. We exchanged a couple of flypasts on the motorway, Tim’s car sounds like a low-flying Messerschmitt :sunglasses: Waxed you off the lights though dude,…I think your traction-control was trying to help huh

Hopefully quick shakedown at Bedford in a week or so and then off for storage in the BAT cave at Donny over the winter.

Very welcome

Yea, so ermmm I thought I’d give the ‘RS’ mode a try; sport+ 'box mode, traction set to sport, foot hard on brake, twist to RS, confirm with right paddle, mash throttle. Simples?

Yea right, so it times out before the lights went green and I’m left with no throttle. Fail.

Next time I’ll just go for the smoky option.

Me : select 2nd gear, done  I guessed there had been some electronics malfunction aboard the gadgetron

haha

Glad you’ve got the motor back matey. When you going Bedford?

Car is now installed in the BaT Cave at Donny :sunglasses:

I had a good drive in it today to put some miles on it and check it was all good and fighting fit for 2015. What an awesome little car :sunglasses: Really liking the Ohlins, the car feels exceptionally grippy and predictable. Its got that real shit-to-a-blanket feel and just hunkers down and fires itself out of corners :sunglasses:

I was filling up and a guy wandered up to me and said “I can tell just by looking that she’s got a few tricks up her sleeve eh?”,…you betcha

Good plan

Glad you like them Ben, you’ll love them on track mate.
