I rolled the car into the garage and there was a definite ‘click’ from back there
Tim had paternal duties today so it was just me on the run out to Goodwood, well me and my lad James…I hope your girls are feeling better bud.
First time back in the car since I picked it up and not the best conditions, dark, damp with a steady drizzle and seriously greasy roads. Having your kid in the car keeps you sensible though (eh Sean 
) although nothing seems to phase young James. Squirming around trying to deploy 3rd gear, enthusiastic T-Jct exits,…nope he loves it, ear-defenders on, big grin on his face 
Anyways this was a day for measured throttle. As I start to put some miles in I’m getting used to the car again now. I actually quite like driving in the wet sometimes and with the power delivery now it really does require ALL of your attention. Even in these crappy conditions, struggling to find traction at half throttle the car is epic. Love it 
Gonna have to get some ear-defenders for me or sort out the whine from the 044, its like having a particularly annoying mosquito in your left ear all of the time.
Pistonheads meet was a bit muted tbh, largely due to the weather and that the parking at Goodwood means its a bit disparate with cars parked here there and everywhere. I saw a black S2 and a red S3 and S3 Roadster and chatted to the S3 owner.
Can’t wait for 2014 and some circuit action…
