220 to 260 and suspension tips

I currently have a Exige s 220, and have been looking at boosting it up to 260. The thing is some people say its worth doing others say don’t bother you won’t notice. What’s peoples view on it worth it or not, ( lotus 260 upgrade) thanks

Any anybody got any info on how to improve handling without spending fortune

No

On which bit ha

Who said you won’t notice going from 220 to 260? Point them out and I’ll show you a liar.

Yes you will notice it,i had a 220 then bought a 240 car not much difference really. But then had the CN 260 upgrade done the car was much better, its smoother and pulls harder. It does cost more though going from 220 rather than from a 240.

What is it about the handling you want to improve?

So upgrade worth it then ha, and on the handling front anything really, on track just seems to roll alot

Worth a read.

Have you got adjustable suspension or standard billies?

Dampers first, lol my 190 seems to keep up most 260 cars

Standard

Ha ha no…

What’s that mean haha

…dunno, Click here

THere are better options than the CN 260 kit!!

If your only looking for 260 I’d say that’s incorrect.

You would

I spoke to Dan at Autosport North in Liverpool this week. He can map the Lotus ecu as per Essex Autosport except slightly cheaper apparently. Works out about 850 for a bespoke map for the Toyota ecu.

If your injectors are big enough you’ll see 280 (ish) Bhp @ flywheel with standard supercharger pulley (on a 2-eleven).

I dont know how much the CN260 upgrade is to compare.

A 211 is totally different as it comes with a minimum 255 cup spec.
A 220 S would need bigger injectors and fuel pump so there is at least a grand there with fitting.
CN’s upgrade is full OEM factory spec which matters to a lot of people and will also reflect at resale, you get a new ecu, injecors and fuel pump for around 2k
So you can sell on your old ecu if you like or take everything back off and sell it on returning your car to standard come resale.
Aside a stand alone ecu you cannot do that with the others.
I’m not knocking Dan’s product and I might pay a visit if I can go direct without essex, as I could get the old 220 ecu done and sell my 260 on if I fancy more power.

2k for 40 Bhp!!?!

It may be a factory upgrade but it’s not good value for money
