Sorry don’t want to buy any of these ‘spare’ tyres, however, I can vouch for the 048’s as wet and dry weather boots (Mk2 Exige).

I don’t know where the limit is in the dry (ain’t gone that fast yet) but as for the wet, well, let’s just say they are phenominal. Don’t believe any hearsay about how “scary” they ‘might’ be in the wet - there NOT - in fact there better than Elise with it’s Bridgstone’s.

Not that you don’t have to be a little careful, but that applies to any car in the wet!!

While I agree they’re pretty good, be careful when the tread wears down on the A048, it will change in nature. It maybe good but it can’t break the laws of physics. Once an almost cut-slick can no longer clear water effectively it acts alot like…a slick.
