All booked and paid for going to travel over with Johnnyfox and MarkyB
Just got arrange new brakes and tyres before we go
Great stuffā¦ one day, Iāll get there myselfā¦fingers crossedā¦
Well lets hope it is worth the trouble, I went to watch F1 there a few years ago, after I walked the track and decided I needed to drive there at least once. So this year is the time, PS BaT still have space

But Iāve no dosh!
I donāt any moreā¦
The nurburgring is open the sat and sun before as well (all day). I am at the ring for the two days, thinking about doing spa staight after on the way back up ā¦ tempting, very tempting.
Well done Ade - Spa is simply the best track out there IMO
DSE - iād do Spa before the Ring if you can. Paying ĆÆĀæĀ½600 for Spa then not being able to attend due to the car being nackered on the Ring wouldnāt be fun!
Jonny and I are doing 2 days at the Ring after Spa (hopefully!)
Ade - enjoy Spa, 'tis one of the best (if not thee best) circuit Iāve driven, fantastic experience and one to fully test the driver.
Enjoy

Yeah, I had the same thoughts. I am hiring a racing Clio for the ring which is insured (sort of, big excess). So my little beast isnt in danger. The ring is awesome, but if it goes wrong there you are in big trouble (and skint).
Might look at doing Spa, we shall see.
Enjoy it guys !!
Go on do it!!!
Come join the party there is still spaces
Cool Man, SPA is THE track in my opinion. I canāt wait until October, track day test day and then race weekend!!!
Come on DSE itāll be better than sexā¦even in an M3!
Go on go on go on go on go on
We need some Exiges.com stickers!
I have some on my carā¦losser !

If only you knew
Well I tried. I am going in a group to the ring (our annual pilgrimage) and we cant get flights and tunnel stuff changed in time (without paying). Definately next time.
Enjoy Spa, its fooking great (not as good as the ring though).
Come on fatcat, what happened ?
What was it Pete ādonāt hurt meā lol. Post the photo
Damon has the photoā¦
In 2007 ( I think) a whole group of us went over to the 'ring - including Damon, I then had a 987S and had previously been to the ring once before.
On this particular day it was chucking it down first thing but then appeared to dry out, anyhow after a while I went out and did the one lap and it was not too bad.
I went out for the second time and at the 7km mark on a āslowā left hander it all went abit wrong - I remember a Merc being close by (nut had no involvement).
Turning in I was suddenly confronted by the Armo hitting my front nearside, spinning 360 my rear nearside hit the same Armo but 20m down and I come to a rest, the run off could have only been about 2m at the most.
From the road the car appeared undamamged - but from the nearside
Coolant and oil on the road, wheels pointing every which way and 3 airbags gone off.
Anyway the ring Marshall came along, arranged a tow truck and measured the damaged Armco.
In the 'ring office, the bill for the Armco was about 700 Euros, the bill to remove the car from the circuit was about 100 Euros and the bill to take it to a yard off the circuit was another 150 Euros - I had to pay all of this before they would tell me where it had been takenā¦
Anyway, the good news was that 5 months later I had the car back all repaired and returned to the 'ring for a re-run and managed to stay onā¦
ā¦ but donāt let me put you off
The Ring is a scary place, mostly due to other drivers and the complete lack of run off.
Canāt wait
