In the next few weeks I will be looking to supply a new wheel into the UK for the 111r/S2exige/211.
Basically these wheels have been designed with the manufacturer (MAK Italy) for use with our type of cars in the Lotus Cup Italy Championship with slicks/wets. They have been favoured for their lightness, strength and the cost over rival wheels. (not only that but they have got to be one of the most sexiest wheels I have ever seen on the latest range of Lotus Elise based cars - They are gorgeous!!).
Just thought I would try to see what interest they may be, thoughts please??
I’m just mulling over the idea of another set of wheels so maybe, depends on price as they would be track use only and paying a premium for “pretty shiney” things is a bit of a no-no at the moment (Mrs wants a boat).
only one colour - black with the front faces of the spokes silver…
No piccies on a car as as yet, I have a set ready to go but im in newcastle car and wheels somewhere in kent just back from Imola)
Price will be around the 1000+vat (inc delivery).
would these fit my s2 elise ? -if its a 111r (or has toyota hubs) then yes!!
IIRC the weight is around 6.9kg front and 8.1 kg rear. (not as light as the 240r rims but half the price…)
Basically they are the result of development with the with the manufacturer and a well known privateer WTCC driver… Apparently there were 5 or 6 different sets made up and sent for testing in LCI and these were the ones they favoured…
Im told they make a very good road wheel aswell
Also currently looking to supplying with them with 48’s/888’s to come in at around the 1500-1600 for the full set of wheels and tyres.
sorry for the lack of piccies guys will get some v.soon
mean time this is the best i can find -
probably can be ordered plain… will have to wait though til i get through the first batch. (you perhaps need to reserve judgement til you have seen them on a car aswell :wink)
They come complete with MAK centre caps and a full set of wheel bolts (x16). If you want lotus centre caps then the ones from the 240r wheels fit perfectly and can be ordered through your lotus dealer.
*please note the ET dimensions are slightly different to that of the std fit wheels (std = F31, R38). This has been done on purpose to give a slightly wider track both front and rear (2mm wider overall at the front and 6mm wider overall at the rear).
There are no clearance issues to worry about and after running them at Oulton yesterday I can confirm they work very well on the car
go on treat yourselves to an early Christmas prezzie
