Women and wheels

I did - picked your wheels up and checked. :astonished:
If we’re getting scientific I’ll weigh them 2morrow and post the results.

On a serious note thought do the R888’s weigh more than A048’s ???

Not sure on this but i did weigh one of my standard S2 v spoke rears with an A048 on last week and was 19…something KG’s so an A048 is roughtly 10kg’s.
Ive got a few 888’s lying around so will weigh one on its own at weekend.

the 7 spoke forge can come with 2 different front widths… so will have different weight depending on which ones you have

i have a set here with mix-match fronts… its either 6"/6.5" or 6.5"/7.0" they come in cant remember…

anybody got a single front they want rid of doesnt matter which width??

 Well Done, you must be right then!

hmmmm…I was wanting the 240r alloys, but loving the Volks TE37 - I think they would suit my car nicely!

Where did you get the Volks from?

well I won’t tell you I told you so but the official weigh in has been completed.

JF Blingy gold Volks Rears with R888 = 17 - 18kg
CA understated black Lotus Rears with A048 (brand new) = 16 - 17kg

Just for reference standard Exige spiders with A048 = 20kg

Obviously tread depth of the tyres and the types - A048 / R888 will make a difference along with the fat tyresure valves.

I am thinking the 48’s are probably lighter than the 888’s based on this

I have witnesses !!!

Never let it be said I can’t keep a secret !

Weighing my wheels as a whole using a set of scales that weigh in 1kgs only then making the camparison with different tyres, possible different tread depths and a TPMS system fitted means nothing. To see the weights go to Seloc Wiki or google it, generally the weights are given in pounds but a conversion will comfirm the weights I posted.

^^ and JF,s wheels have probably got pieces of naan in the treads ( adding weight ) at the moment !

I also suspect a more controlled /scientific measurement would help … we all know the "Black country " is called such cos …

Gravity is more noticeable in a black hole !!!

What did you think I meant ??
Tossers
