Just out of interest whats the widest set up you can have on the S1 exige? with the 16/17"rims
can you have 205fronts and 235or245 at the rears? as surely this would give you better grip having more tyre on the road.
Would it start to rub the arches badly?
Has any one fitted wider tyres?
Or is it the fact that these cars are set up perfect with just 195 and 225.
Any input would be good

Even with the 195/225 combination on 048s you can get a tiny bit of inner guard rub. Pretty sure to run wider you’d have to cut away some of the inner arch.
I know Dave in Oz ran some wider boots on his Yellow H-S/C beast… not sure if he modded the inner arches though.

But he has a complete Pillbeam suspensions sistem and hubs that take the wheels in a slightly different position, more inclined…
