can’t I bring myself to sell the Exige and move on - only cars I seriously look at are modified Exiges, but that would be an add on rather than a swap they really are rather special
Just like your wives then!
sssh don’t tell 'em they’ve been modified
Yeah, there’s just SOMETHING about them… this car is a part of me
Fixed that for you
Seriously though you know we all agree.
Lol Ben - but keep getting that Honda itch - missus is now convinced (after selective showing of Exiges sold
) that it would be a decent investment to ‘add’ to the Lotus fleet.
Good work - maybe she would like to meet my Missus? You know you wanna go Honda. Let me know if you need further convincing when we’re at Anglesey
Simon, come and have a drive of my Audi car if you want a “REAL” thrill at Anglesey!!
‘The thriller in Anglesey’ doesnt quite have the same catchyness as the ‘Thiller in Manilla’.
I always wanted a Noble - but when I was doing a lot of track days with LOT a couple of years ago I used to regularly see a chap come along who had moved from a Lotus to a Noble and was still in LOT. And it just seemed to break down at every event.
Likely modified etc. but has put me off since. I drove one a few years ago again on track and it was great, fantastic noise behind your ears from turbos when spooling up.
John hated working on Nobles, said they were bloody horrible things!!
Markyb descibed them in a similar way.
I looked at a 3R before I bought the Exige, was ready to sign on the dotted line, till I asked a little bit offhand what the average owner spends maintaining his car yearly, 2.5k was his answer, he did not look embarressed saying it. At that point I realised I had not spent 2.5 on 3 years of Lotus ownership went straight to Castle Lotus and bought the Exige instead not regretted my choice one bit, I doubt I would have wanted to keep the Noble in the same way I want to keep the Exige
