We had just one engine last the whole season and that was Pat Charlton’s… He was also the slowest guy on the grid and took it easy… Everyone else had at least one engine, some people maybe up to 5!!
He’s speeded up somewhat since then. He told me he was very pleased with his engine when I was chatting to him at Brands Hatch on 20th November, when competing in the EERC 2 hour race. Picture taken by IDG of Pat’s car is Here

Is he sharing that car with his Dad now? It is an interesting photo, you can see how much tape you have to put over the radiator ducting at the front… That always used to make me laugh! Has anyone got the green duct tape? How about the purple? Where the hell do we get pink duct tape?
I see Mark Cole did very well in Porsches after that, he was another dirver in my cell… Would like to know what happened to to Adam Wilcox etc and some of the other quick guys.
