Why is an Exige better than an Elise?

Based on last years glorious summer here in Eastern Europe I decided to buy an Elise SC rather than another Exige.

It was 28deg and blue skies yesterday here in Sunny Slovakia, perfect Elise conditions so I drove to work in it. Later on I had to drive to a meeting with my colleague, he was desperate for a ride in a Lotus. We set off, roof off, dressed in our suits (like a dodgy looking Crocket and Tubbs).

I slowed down to 50 kph to avoid the regular speed trap near town  . Then there was a huge splat, I couldn’t see much out of the windscreen. We looked at each other, confused. Then the stench kicked in! It was the biggest albatross bird dump I have ever seen. The complete car was covered, as well as our heads

Unbelievable, that’s never happened in the Exige, or the SMax

If you buy an Elise…buy a hat

A fookin albatross - amazing! :sunglasses:

PMSL!!!

Set the scene for us perfectly

Absolutely priceless

think the bird shouted ‘bingo’ as it flew over?

Haha.

Here’s a thread on pistonheads that might make you feel a bit better?

Scary bird strike photos! But I’m particularly impressed by the plane with a deer strike, was that over Xmas?

And the name Exige has an ‘X’ in it, that’s way cool! :nerd:

Have you seen the posting on the Albatross forum yet??

Hmmm, now I can’t decide if it would be better if you are the car in front or behind when we do the TransF

Colleague still so delighted with the Lotus?
