oh ok jumped the gun factory elise. sorry

Very tasty, and it’s just down the road from me… but it’s not one of the more desirable S2’s

looks like one of the kits brought from me.

How can you tell ?

Yeah it’s one of your kit’s Chris. The car was converted not long ago and the owner has spent a lot of money on both the conversion and the engine. Good car and goes well

cn’t believe with all that kit its not got harnesses

I went to see this car earlier in the week with a view to buying it for a friend of mine.
As it says in the listing, the body looks nice, but there were a few reasons why I didn’t want to buy it.

The owner is on Norlog

Why? Is it badly done or just not what was really wanted?

With the sort of power level it was claiming, I’d have hoped to see some uprated brakes, engine internals, things like that.

It’s certainly not a bad car, but my friend (Lee is his name) will be doing some track work, which a car with worn standard brakes and a standard AGU engine (running plenty of boost) isn’t really suitable for.

There were also a few other bits that I personally would have done differently or would like to address. With cost of the work Lee would want done, added to the cost of the car, it meant is wasn’t the right car for him.

Could be worth a look if you’re happy to turn the boost down to a safer level and you want a nice looking car to polish.

Could you pls develop ? I am in contact wit hthe seller but as i am so far away, would really like to read your conclusions.
Thanks.

I was with Dan (Renton) when we looked at this car.

It is difficult to talk about a car someone is trying to sell on here and it was extra difficult for us as Dan had just picked up MarcP’s car (we actually had it on the trailer when we looked at this car) and Marc’s car is an absolute stunner and was similar money.

In fairness I think Dan had a bloody bargin with Marc’s car, so again it is difficult to judge the true value of this one.

A couple of things I hope the seller wont mind me saying, but might make a difference are:

The dash has speakers mounted in it in what look like the two outer most vents and they are not very subtle. You can’t tell from just looking if the dash has had to have been cut to fit them either.

I had the front drivers side wheel off and the wishbones on that corner had a lot of surface rust and “in my opinion” would want a refurb. I would have wanted them refurbed if it was my car anyway

The brake disks on the car are well past there sell by date, the fronts had a huge lip on them. This is a reletivly cheap thing to sort, but again at the price I would have liked to have seen it sorted.

I will add that the body work and paint were exceptional, it really doesn’t have a mark on it.

Renton and SeanB thank you for your feedback !

I have a honda SC exige S1 that i’d like to chnage for this kind of Audi conversion. What do you think of the moce ? I never tried a Audi S1…

Come and have a look at the JSR audi cars that are in build at the moment.
