And finally just for Uncle P … It has not got a proper diff!
31 K is what mine owes me … Can’t think of a better spec’d car for that money ?
suggestions below ?
That is a good buy if you have the cash
He must have really loved that car, “2010 plate doing less than 1.5k miles”
Nice tho
There are some steals to be had. My '10 Exige with all of the above plus lightweight alloys, burnt orange perl paint, touring pack and amourfend was 34k and that was from a dealer and not private. Silly money when you think some poor sod paid 44k for it new 5 months previous…then again you’d need your head tested to pay that for an Exige.
hi whiteysback i was wondering if you could tell me how you got the car down so much in price from a dealer (ie technique) and which dealership it was? i am thinking about getting a brand new exige (actually the one advertised above tempts me) but would obviously like a significant discount like you did. thanks
I spent a day ringing around as many dealers as I could stomache and told them what I was after spec wise and what my budget was. Typically a few tried to sell me a different car simply because that was what they were carrying in stock and likewise some tried to talk my budget up. If you stick to your guns and are dead straight with them they’ll appreciate your not a time waster and will either see what they can let a stock used car go for or will take your details and call you as soon as a p/x comes in.
Good thing for buyers of a nearly new Exige like yourself is that Exiges in the 30k to 40k price take an age to sell so dealers are often open to listening to offers just to shift their stock on - thats exactly what happened with mine, I didnt think I’d get it but did simply because the dealer needed to make room for a new Cup 260 car they had comming in as a demo.
thanks whiteysback, i am looking to buy very soon so wil give what you said a try. fingers crossed it pulls off
Murray lotus are good…that where I found my car.
Oh, one other thing, it always helps the sale if you are using their finance company to make the purchase - if of course you’re looking to either full or part finance the car. On that note I found their finance APR to be lower than that offered by my bank.
Not sure if you’re only considering trade sales but if not then then is fantastic: car:Used cars for sale | PistonHeads UK
It’s a truely stunning colour with a great spec. That ice white perl paint alone is 2k over the already 1k extra metallic paint colours - a very expensive and therefore rare colour to have.
