As per the other thread, it looks like there is a bit of interest for a few of us Southerners to have a bit of a Bedford hoon and a curry.
OK so I’ve had a look and most of the Bedford events are all on the full GT circuit which I don’t especially rate that much. So to make it a bit more interesting I thought maybe we could go on one of the days that they run ‘How Fast’ events on the West circuit and a trackday on the SEN circuit and combine both. The next time this is run is on Mon 19th Nov
If we did the last How-Fast sesssion then the day would run like this :
07:30 Trackday Signing On
08:30 Trackday Briefing
09:00 Trackday Track Time Begins on SEN
12:00 Trackday Lunch and Sign on for How-Fast
12:30 How-Fast Briefing
13:00 How-Fast One hour of practice lapping on W circuit
14:00 How-Fast Time Lapping begins
15:00 How-Fast is done and go back to SEN if you feel like it
16:00 Pack up and think of excuses why you were ‘how-slow?’
17:00 Early curry
The cost for both events is 129 for the trackday and 99 for the How-Fast event. If there’s a few of us interested I’ll call MSV and see if we can get a discount for doing both events.
Short Shift? Mate, I think you might need to turn yours off past the meters!!
Seriously though there’s only one meter I think on the West Circuit so if you can get through the static test you’ll be ok short-shifting, that’s what I’ve done when I’ve been there. Provides a handy excuse too,…
Will consult diary and other things (e.g. Matt, doubt timed stuff is covered…but there’s not much to hit).

Tbh on the West circuit there is pretty much nothing to hit apart from at Bank.
Yes Tim you need to get busy with the spanners and get it all running/mapped. Trust me you’ll appreciate the catalyst to get it done because once junior arrives your garage time and energy levels will become somewhat constrained.
Should be a bit of laugh and not at all competitive
The last time I went to Bedford I spent the day “changing gear” at the correct points on the track, one of the marshalls congratulated me on my careful driving and loved the sound of my car round the rest of the circuit as he could hear it
At the end I was told not to come back till I fixed my noise issue
I thought you would have put that old shed to rest ages ago. [/quote]
I’ve tried to blow it up but it just keeps going. It’s a great car, just need to free off the brakes, put some air in the tyres, charge the battery and we’ll be good to go again.
