Doesn’t the velcro stuck on the plinth melt/adhesive run etc?
Only if you use Velcro!!
TBH this shouldn’t be a problem as the heat has plenty of area to escape from around the number plate - you can always put some heat reflective tape on the back of the plate…
Never had a problem.
Thanks blokes,
I still might use bolts as the French police are funny about velcro.
Jim’s kit and I cut the nimbus from old panel a tad smaller than number plate to use as a heat shield, had no problem with melting number plate in over 2 years, 8 track days per year. Full 2bular GT3 exhaust system.
Reflective silver tape and velcro for me aswell
Boothy’s 2-11 plinth mod
Top man, that looks very cool!
The exhaust system won’t arrive until October but I thought I’d make a start and replace the OEM reg plate shield with the 211 one.
Where and how is it held on at the top???
I’m getting the impression it’s with or under all the heat reflectors, in which case , as I don’t want to remove those yet, I might have to make do for the time being
