Where to start ???

Hi All

Considering all my options now I have caught up on all things Loti

Option 1 - Buy a nice 220s and throw Ohlins, AP’s, Power upgrade, Accusump & lots of carbon !!!
Option 2 - Buy a nice 240PP and add ohlins, Accusump & lots of carbon
Option 3 - Go bonkers and buy a 260 Cup for 43K

Option 1 looks like costing 33k ish
Option 2 looks like costing 36K ish
Option 3 43K

What’s the general opinion ???. All comments welcome

260 and haggle…

yep…I agree buddy…one hell of a mota!

Got the budget…get it!

Std 220S/C 22000-25000
Nitrons 1200-2500- choice
Brakes 308mm 1000-2000 - choice
Power upgarde 1500-2000 (circa260bhp)
Forge cooler 600.00
TRD air box 70.00
Total 26500-32000, spend the rest on even more mods like carbon fibre, wheels, Big roof scoop, even more power…

If I was buying now, I would be getting a 2nd hand demo 260, I have been very tempted to take all the bits off mine and get a 260 but the house purchase took the option away :frowning:

I think 43K is a base price for the 260 Cup, so no fancy wheels, no air con, very little colour choice etc

Choice of “route” comes down to whether or not you see the car as “a keeper”

The only reasoning for the 260 would surely be that its a bit of special edition, and possibly hold its value a little better. I suppose the 260 is the turnkey package for those not keen on changing parts, but other than that the same bit and pieces can be added to the any exige s for much less.

Really surpised so many people would choose the 260 at 43k+ given them options.

Option 1 for me

Deffo option 1 …

Tailor the car exactly to your needs…

Ps with 2K for the CN’s upgrade I suggest you will get closer to 280 BHP not 260
Assuming you do the other stuff as suggested by “Seriously Lotus”

Mine owes me 31k and i,ve had a Quaife and comp clutch fitted too.

Hi All

Update for you. Looking at a car but has a slight issue.
Looking for wisdom from my fellow Exiger’s

Car is low mileage and main dealer but has had a new engine under warranty.

I’m concerned about resale as my life will not be complete if at some stage I don’t have a 458 Italia and I am sure the wife will never let me keep both - tried that one before !!!

What do we think ???

Option 1

Consensus seems to be option 1 then

Only problem is I have Jonnyfoxuscarbonitis (Official medical condition) and the 260 Cup is dripping in the damn stuff.

It’s my only chance to out carbon JF !!!
