wheel spacers

i have s1 elise…wheels are elise off set…ive put on body kit…i bought wheel spacers from eliseparts…will they do the job? is it only the rear that needs spacin?

The track width is one of the factors determining how much weight is transfered from the inner rear wheel to the outer during cornering. Increasing the rear track (by adding spacers) will cause an decrease in weight transfer on the rear axle. Both tyre’s will be more equally loaded and you’ll get more cornering power and less body roll. Unfortunately the reduced weight transfer in the rear will cause an increase of weight transfer on the front axle. The theory is you’ll end up with a more under steering car. But theory and practice doesn’t always meet On the front you have the adjustable arb too adjust (stiffer) or you could set the car up slightly lower in the rear to compensate or try spacers in the front as well. Couple of track days and trials and you’ll get their.

sounds like anightmare. i already have the eliseparts uprated anti roll bar on front. i have to space the wheels to fill the rear arches…the fronts dont look too bad. does anyone know where i can just roll in roll out job done in northwest? along wiv geo set up etc
