I am an electronic project engineer, basically I manage a small team of electronic and software engineers. I get heavily involved in mechanical design and work closely with the mechanical design team to produce a varied array of products based around LED technology.
I get involved in designing LED railway signals which have been fitted on UK train networks on barriers, stopping trains etc
Also Most of the lights you see fitted on cones and roadworks including the ones that flash in a row on the motorway.
Plus an array of radar activated annoying signs that flash and tell you to slow down and record your speed and time of day so police can come at a later date to catch repeat speed offenders… Sorry guys

each one has an infra red receiver at the front and a set of transmitters at the rear. A coded message is sent down from the front one (one that is seeing no received signal) and changed and passed as it goes from one to the next to stop the wrong one from being flashed out of order etc…
